who gives a [****!!****] about grays.. if they were an important rival like billericay then maybe i could get intrested..

back to the exeter game .. i thought they looked big.. well organised in defence and very busy.. a good competent conference side with play off aspirations and i think we did really well to get a point off em

Exeter appeared like many of the "upper" ex league clubs; big lads, strong, quick and professional in their approach.

The one thing that did suprise me at the beginning was the way Exeter played. They just seemed to hoof it forward up the line towards the corner of the box and wait for Edwards or Phillips to latch onto it - got quite boring. Certainly Carlisle, Hereford and Aldershot played more attractive football.

Agree a hard fought well earned point with some great noise from the Yellow Army. I certainly would have settled for a point before the game - just wished we wouldn't wait until the 90th minute! Not sure about Junior being named man of the match but to his credit he did cover a lot of ground again today. Ash played well, would like him to be more vocal - didn't hear him when he was organising his wall for a free kick. His kicking looked good to me - he doesn't play it out as quickly as Danny - but sometimes thats a good thing. His punching seemed a little bit rusty and I felt he could have caught a couple rather than trying to belt them - as others have said he hasn't done anthing wrong and Danny needs to earn his place.

Another question from me is why are our players starting to dig in and dig deep? most of the middle part of the season when we could have done with scrapping results, like we did at the beginning of the season,we started to capitulate. Have we some new found confidence? has Jeff sorted the technical side out or are there a few players whose contracts are ready for renewal?

Phil Old Boy posting (if anonymous comes up).

Fantastic having the drum there on Saturday. I was next to the shelter and couldn’t hear my cousin next to me. It was funny to see the exodus from the shelter when the YA returned to it in the second half. It sounded like the noise of a thousand from there. Not bad for 20-30!

Make the shelter your own guys as it’s a great amplifier!

Be interesting to hear what the players thought.

As for the game, whether due to the early goal (which I missed) , we did appear to sit back but I thought we looked quite comfortable doing that and dealt with their threat in the first half. It’s something we perhaps used to do more when in the lower leagues playing higher opposition and to good effect. Their change bringing Flack on proved a good one for them.

Interesting how when we did come out and attack, they did not like it too much. But if we had played like that for all the game then I’m sure we should of lost to sucker counter attacks.

MoM was Buzz.

Quality gesture MOB. We could buy one with supporters club funds but these have been so depleted this year by subsidising half empty coaches (or is that half full ?!!).

30 seats sold so far for Tamworth.

How about we issue the "Yellow army" with cardboard cut-out drums. Won't make a lot of noise but won't half look impressive to press camera's and the hard of hearing !

Well done to all the lads & lasses who went to bloody Leigh....flipping..R..sodding..M..gutting..I.and made a din. Hope to see you all in full voice on saturday with that Drum Mark & Glen. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon_band222.gif" alt="" />
