Could lead to a tricky decision for the FA if Liverpool win the Champions League. Theyd have to decide whether to give the 4th champions league spot for next season to the 4th place team (probably Everton), or nick it off them and give it to arch rivals Liverpool.

I thought UEFA said they will consider changing the rule in future but won't this/next season, and the FA have to decide which 4 clubs will play in the Champions League. So if Liverpool win it, (which they won't) and finish 5th in the League, the FA would have to give them a place at the expense of the 4th placed team (Everton). This happened in Spain a couple of years ago when Real were allowed to defend the title at the expense of Real Zaragoza, I think it was.

However, I gather that the FA have decided against it and the top 4 will play in the Champions League.
