Very harsh on you lads.It seems the FA just make it up as they go along, OR they are very poor at explaining existing rules.

Surely the team playing only one game (in this case Didcot) should have been drawn away in the decider.Winchester will have to win two away games, where as Didcot will only have to win homegame.

It was an "open" draw (if there is such a thing behind closed doors) made at the FA last Thursday.

Apparently, draws were made to cater for 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 clubs receiving the grading with the appropriate draw being made public today.

Why they can't just decide all this before the season starts is beyond me. For example, 1 team gets promoted from each league max, so you could perhaps have maybe Essex league vs. South Mids Lge. say for promotion to DML East. If a league can't produce a team to get promoted then the other league's side gets a bye. If there aren't enough teams then no-one gets relegated. It's so simple.

As far as I'm concerned the champion clubs should not have even had to worry about playoffs. you win your league. the ground is good enough. you should go up. end of story.

From the Winchester web site:

'Extra-ordinary General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that an Extra-ordinary General Meeting has been called for Friday 13th May

The meeting will be held in the clubhouse beginning at 7:30pm

The purpose of the meeting will be to explain and demonstrate the current financial position of the football club, and to discuss and decide the way forward for the football club

If you really care about your football club then please make an effort to attend this meeting'

It might be less of a problem than you think!

It all stinks of something somwwhere.

It would be nice to know what the other options were. and why could they have not published them last thursday if they were drawn then.

Winchester and Enfield having to play two matches it crazy.

another point, which I have mentioned before is players that may be on contract, which do normally end after the FA Vase/FA Trophy weekend.

With the didcot v Enfield /Winchester gameafter this what happens, as clubs may have already advised the FA they are not going to retail players.

Also if players have boked holidays, teams could be without key players for these important matches.

the point I was trying to make was regarding the situation if more than 8 champion clubs passed the ground grading. that would have been a total injustice after good seasons both on and off the pitch. I know it hasn't happened but what if it had....and yes, I am very HAPPY coz we are going up!

Just to add my thoughts to the mixer. Speenymoor united have gone belly up and this will mean less relegation from the Unibond Premier. This will follow down the pyramid and one more team will need to be promoted from Step 5. Haven't seen that scenario yet on the FA or Tony K's site. Are there anymore clubs in difficulties? Playoffs might not be needed at all. Or the results might not be the end of the matter. All they will do is give a pecking order out of Didcot/Winchester/Enfield. Winchester will be a very tough game. Saw them in the semis and final of the vase last year. Brilliant going forward although Andy forbes and others have now left. Also Steve moss was on there coaching staff

It has been on TK's forum - it's one less relegated from step4. It would be Oxford City as they have the best points per game ratio.

Outrageous. Successful clubs should be promoted, not relegation placed ones reprieved.
