So, what's the wider implication? If one appeal is successful, EFC, Didcot & Winchester are all out and 8 champion teams go up. Two successful appeals and 9 in the hat for one play off game?

Will the 7 other club that are up at present Appeal about going in the hat.

Will Enfield or the Ryman Appeeal as a rule was already there for 2nd place in a play/off

If WC and L&NM both win the appeal will there be a play off with Enfield in it.

Enfield and Town could still meet in a play-off the way things are going

Unlikely.worst case senario for both clubs would be EFC miss out altogether,ETFC have to face a play-off.EFC missing out looks much more likely. If one appeal is successful, EFC are out.If both appeals are successful,ETFC only have a 2-in-9 chance of not getting a bye.

I hope neither senario happens.EFC had enough bad luck in having to play two play-offs,let alone sweating on whether they will even get that.

If I read the FA's previous announcement correctly, EFC only got in because there were 7 champions with the grading. If either Walton or Lymington win their appeal there would be at least 8 champions and EFC, Didcot and Winchester would drop out of the picture. But I could, of course, be wrong.

A message elsewher on teh TK site says someone in the know has said both appeals will fail.

I would make the FA lokk really silly if they had done all this and then ignore they own grading people and let someone in.

How could the grading people every do there job if teh FA are going to change the decision later.

why have ground grading if thats the case

It's a total farce from beginning to end, and we all knew it would happen. You can just imagine what it would have been like if more clubs had passed the grading. I'd have no problem if halfway through the season the FA or the Ryman League had said that 2nd place won't be good enough, but to lead us (and Brook House & Hertford) on right until the end takes the piss. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

If we do end up playing in play-offs, how many players are going to be available, not just for us, but for the other sides as well- the way this is going these matches will be in the middle of June.

I don't quite understand why they were allowed to appeal at all. If this appeal fails, will they be allowed another one? Another one after that? And why does it take seven days for the appeals to be heard? Will ground improvements made in those seven days be allowed?

So many questions for the FA, so few brain cells....

But as people have said, this puts play-off back. Absolutely ridiculous! The FA should have made allowances for appeals in scheduling the matches.

At the same time, how could the FA have permitted some clubs additional time before inspections last sunday? You can't keep moving the goalposts and expect people to abide by your decision when you finally set them down!

Sunday was the date the FA said they wanted to come back, Syrup. Nothing to do with the clubs. We didn't ask for, and didn't need, a one day extension.

The whole issue stinks. Rules are rules and we should all stick to them.

But seeing how far you can bend rules is a fact of life, if it wasn't nothing would change.

Just thought- seeing that we have Danny Clarke on our books, is he available to play in these play-offs?
