Surprised he is staying on an extra year. Thought he would get fed up eventually of warming the bench.

I'm surprised but really glad Ashley has signed for another year, not many clubs can boast a 'keeper of his ability and experience as their number two.

he is at a club he likes, he lives and works in the area. i think with a good run in the squad he is more than capable at this level. all it takes is an injury to danny and he is there. not many clubs have such a quality keeper on the bench, glad hes staying

quality news. Ash is more than capable at this level so to have him as our No.2 is excellent. I did expect him to leave as he is more than capable at playing at another club.
And as rich said, how many other players would join in with the fans the way he did. LEGEND

Summed up quite well by everybody.

Great that Ash has signed and it is good that we have kept a quality keeper who doesn't mind warming the bench and fighting for his starting place after the number 1 keeper plays at being a clown and gets sent off <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Well done Ash, one of life's "nice blokes" I reckon, and can still do a decent job in goal.

Saying that, who knows if Ashley has signed just to be a substitute. He aquitted himself well in the games he played this year and with regular match practise may be able to challenge Danny for the number 1 spot.
