Prediction League: End of the 1st Month

Recommended Posts

We it's the end of the 1st full month of results ( well 4 weeks anyway) and yet again we have another table topper!

This week the congratulations go to kestrel

Also a mention should also go to HAT who moves off the foot of the table with the first points of the season.

This weeks fixtures are up and awaiting your predictions.

Steady point hauler Hoarse Whisper is mounting a good challenge for the top at present, whereas the Boston imitator Vogue isn't far behind in 10th place. Which just goes to prove that even if you haven't joined as yet there's still plenty of chance for you to surge to the top of the table by the seasons end.

The results are in for this week along with the new fixtures for the coming saturday.

For the first time ever we have the same leader kestrel

The league still remains tight with Vogue continuing an un-Boston like surge to the top 3, and having gained first points last week, our previous table proper upper HAT climbs into the top 40.

Unfortunately Mr Consistent Richard C has proved inconsistent this week and slips to 20th. Which is still better than me as I fall out of the top 40.

Scandel within the prediction league?

I believe I've been misled to predict the Halifax v Chester game this week, but from what I can tell Chester played Dag + Red, whilst Halifax played Yeovil.

I believe that Hoarse Whisperer is behind this and suspect that brown envelopes have been passed at Motorway Service stations.

I demand a full FA enquiry into the matter.

Vogue, is this really you?

Is this a dagger I feel sticking in my back? I've never been to Halifax in my life. My mother's side of the t'family come from t'Yorkshire but tha's plain daft t'think I had 'owt to do wi'it! Some of us got caught out in similar fashion a couple of weeks back, me included, when Doncaster v Dredbridge was shown live on Sky with a mid-day kick off. I plead innocent until proven guilty, all further allegations in this matter should be forwarded to my solicitors, Messrs Lize, Cheatz & Conz, Halifax, West Yorkshire.

My mistake, read the wrong page of the fixtures, H.W's envelope had nothing to do with it honest guv!

This match will be deleted from the league results. What does suprise me is the number of us, including me didn't go for the 0-0 they had on Tuesday!

Well the 2 fixtures I did get right last week have now had their results entered and we have a new league leader, rdaniells who is the first to break the 20 point barrier.

This weeks fixtures (which I hope are correct for the date) include 2 FA Cup Fixtures, which I think will challenge your predicting talents.

Strange how it is that the earth moves for me when my wife's working away in Kent.

I wish you could keep her quiet!

H.W. Cups are overrated (unless you do well). Gives you a chance to concentrate on the league now I suppose. We've a cup match on Sat - we've lost the plot a bit too having lost 2 on the trot and not scored with either. The break from the league may do us good. [Cups also allow you to be positive whatever the outcome!]

Cheers
