It takes a bloooody lot to impress me with regards to films, since purchasing a yearly cinema pass you can imagine I have seen some real shitty films.

Sin City is the exception, what a bloody great film. I won’t spoil it for everyone but it really is a breath of fresh air amongst the crap that has come out of Hollywood lately!

Quinton Tarantino guest directs and his influences become obvious as the film goes on. Don’t let the fact that the majority of the film is in black and white put you off.

Do yourself a big favour and go and see this film, you won’t be disappointed! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon14.gif" alt="" />

I'll second that. Sin City is absolutely superb, the best film I've seen in years. If you like your movies a little bit dark and twisted, then you'll love this.

Agree. I saw this yesterday at work, brilliant film.

I was a little surprised about the audience turn-out though. Quite a few elderly couples came to see this all the way through.

Naturally, our friends across to pond were a little controversial when it came out with regards to some of the explicit scenes, (that's violence, not sex)....But what the hell do they know!?

I know it's a bit off topic, has anyone seen 'Ed Wood', nothing like Sin City but it was probably the last black and white film I saw, really enjoyed it too, think it was directed by Tim Burton.
