I'm glad I never got a job like that, they do far too much work.

All of the above except surfing the web, not allowed on. Before I got their the staff couldn't find a way to get on, but I managed to round that one and got on but then got told off. If I return to where I used to work they encourage you to use the web.

Most firms, if not all, should encourage you to work, not piss about on the web during company time...a mis use of company assets I am informed, a disciplinary offence which could lead to dismissal, I gather ! So think yourself lucky Harry...

But then....you could just carry on spouting sh*t as normal....

No offence.....up the workers !

Cheers,

Agree indeed Hirsty, I only managed to get on by mistake and was unaware we were not allowed.

In my role I have these time sheets that I have to make sure are correct to the information I have. So I have to different bits of info and make sure they add up. They do not always do this and it makes it a very tedious task looking for the info that is not correct.

I work in Alphabetical order. I started on the letter A last Tuesday, I am now on the Letter S!

If I counted all the lunch breaks I don't take, that'd be several hundred hours of web surfing they owe me...

...so my conscience is clear... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

The other day I was sent to the chemist to get a prescription for my boss. When I got there I was allowed to walk around in the chemist (as it doubled as a post office) but due to the chemist being on their lunch break I couldn't get what I needed.

There were two of them there, what a wanted was yards away from them and they could easily get what I needed but due to "being on their lunch break" they wouldn't get what I needed.

Brings a whole new meaning to the word jobs worth.

And trust me that "box of sparks" will all have extinguished by the time you get back to the office from the hardware store.
