Fixture list & new shirt?

Recommended Posts

When is the fixture list due to be announced? I’m desperate to book a holiday but can’t commit until I’ve seen the dates of the early fixtures.

Does anyone have any inside info on the new away shirt? Are we sticking with yellow?

Finally one more question- Has anyone heard where Omari Coleman has gone? He was a brilliant striker for Dulwich Hamlet. Watford picked him up, shafted DHFC by paying them a pittance and then let him go on a free. He would do a brilliant job down at Brimmo- sign him up Jim!

Roll on the fixture list announcement!

New away shirt will be available from the end of July & is Red & Black striped.
I believe that the fixtures come out in a couple of weeks.

Why is the away shirt Red and Black ? Is this anything to do with a possible merger with Brimsdown FC ?
In my opinion, our away kit should have remained all yellow.

Because when we was asking people what they would like for a new away kit, the three colours that kept coming back were Red, Black & Green.
Only a couple said that they'd want yellow to remain.
We couldn't find a combination of Red/Green so went for Red/Black.

No one ask me about the away shirt. Why wasn't it discussed on this forum,or mentioned to supporters trust members.??

Red & Black strips??? Whats all that about???

I think maybe people were reminising about the green/black/red squared shirts of the EFC/Borg era.

I think it was a mistake for EFC to fanny about with different colours apart from yellow, and i think its a mistake to change from our traditional yellow now.Whats it going to feel like when we play EFC away. They come out in blue & white. We come out in Black and red stripes.

I'm sorry, but when we formed ETFC ,i wanted to carry as much tradition over from the old club as possible. For me,that include the colours of the home and away kits.

I'd like to know who actually had the final say on this away kit.Was there a committee vote, because there certainly wasn't as supporter vote.

Who said the yellow kit was going completely?, it's there as a third choice.
Once again, we asked people last season at the shop what colours they wanted, so the members chose the colours.

Whoa there LS.

Keep with tradition? Yes, when we were at EFC I have fond memories of the yellow strip, the n a, n a n, n a n a song etc but also have fond memories of the purple strip, red and green quarters, dark blue etc away strips.

You'd be hard pushed to find to many clubs who keep the same colour away strips year in, year out.

You also have to take into account the commercial aspect, I'm sure Arkwright is rubbing his hands in glee at the prospect of selling us all red/black merchandise.

I, for one, have no problem changing the away strip to whatever anyone pleases every couple of seasons, as long as it's white and blue at home I'm not fussed.

I sympathise with LS. It does make sense to change the away strip. After all, how many fans have you seen wearing the yellow shirts (apart from Junior). However, I do think that with a suporters run club this issue should have been brougth in front of all fans. I hope that the forthcoming meeting will prove to the first of a regular series of meetings whereby the board can keep us infomred of what is going on in OUR club.

I know what you mean, it's not the same if EFC play in anything but white, yellow or light blue. Still it's not all bad, you'll get to wear the yellow kit if you play against anyone with white, blue, red and black stripes in their kit.

Talking of baby blue ST, I have very good evidence that you have been trying to get in touch with your feminine side by parading around in a rather fetching shirt!!!

Have to say I welcome the change of strip, new league = new strip, seems a refreshing step forward.

Would agree the Home kit should not change other than the trim.

The clours red & black features heavily in the borough of Enfield, in fact the colours red, black & green were my school teams sports colours 25 years ago.
