Fixture list & new shirt?

Recommended Posts

I think radically changing our away strip should have been left to a lot further down the line.I think we needed to consolidate who we are, and the colours we play in, for a longer period before we started experimenting, and then when we did,i don't think black/red stripe would have been appropiate.Do we really want to look like Sawbo or Yeading..etc????

I think it was a mistake for EFC to fanny about with different colours apart from yellow, and i think its a mistake to change from our traditional yellow now.

I'm sorry, but when we formed ETFC ,i wanted to carry as much tradition over from the old club as possible.

Tradition? The first time an Enfield side wore yellow as an away kit was in 1979 (i.e. 83 years into their history). Before that they wore red, and before that sky blue. There is no traditional away kit.

I think this is great, 4th birthday just gone and we are talking about our tradition ! amazing how this club gets under your skin.

I am sure Gazza and S O G would agree baby blue? pink? purple? lime green? don't really care as long as we continue our good away form!

ps Duke of York - see what you have started? well done mate

Thats the point. The old clubs 'trendier' away shirts (the puple, the red/green/black,the very dark blue) bared no resemblence to anyone elses kits.Loads of teams play in black and red stipes.

Sadly, kit makers these days don't necessarily do exactly what you want (ie White Shirts with Blue Trim are incredibly hard to find now),
with other colours it's all off the peg (To get the exact match you want you either have to be very lucky with what's in the catalogues or be in a position to be able to order kits in the 100's).
At least you'll like the new home shirt!.

Can we have the option of some in "mark d" for the fuller figure?

Will the fans be able to see a photo of the kits ,before deciding to purchase. Is it possible to get pictures of the kits up on the official forum.

What colour shorts and socks will the away kit have? I would prefure all white, rather than black.

Will the home kit retain the blue shorts,or will they be white?

That's a good point, as soon as we get the kits in, we'll get the shirts done & put on.
I don't know for sure what colour the shorts & socks will be on the away kit, but would prefer white/white. I'll double check that & post it here.

With the home kit, though it's a new design (And frankly looks much better), the shorts will remain Blue & the socks White.

I think I'd prefer black, but if we went with white I think we'd also need black or red as an alternative for cases where the opposition have white shorts or socks. Red/black shirts with blue shorts/socks would definitely not work - it would be worse than the yellow/white/blue combination we wore once.
