Accrington Stanley!

Recommended Posts

Away at Accrington Stanley is our first game of the season! Home to Aldershot the following Tuesday.

August Bank Holiday's at home to Dagenham.

Away to Grays on Boxing Day, away to Cambridge on New Years Eve and home to Grays on Jan 2nd.

Home to Kidderminster and away at Dagenham at Easter and away to Halifax on the final day!

All our Tuesday nights away this season look pretty good, (subject to change of course!) Furthest is Aldershot I believe.

no complaints there.. two great home games to start with..

grays is a better draw than daggers or fleet at xmas and cambridge away on new years eve is the icing on the cake ..

lets hope we can get some breathing room from ther bottom two slots and enjoy the footy a bit more this season rather than being constantly nervous

just a shame that our first game is such a distance away, i cant see us taking many there.

the cambridge on new years eve is great, go to the game, then stay in town and celebrate the new year. sounds like a good day / night

Went to Accy last year - bit of a trek but gets it out the way.

Good start to the season at home with Shots and G&N.

Am I the only one who is disappointed with only having one seaside away visit this summer - Scarborough. Or am I looking at the fixture list for all the wrong reasons??

Not the easiest of starts but hey, gotta play everyone sometime. It took about 5 hours to get to Accrington if i remember rightly. definatly an away game you want to make the effort for, not a bad ground (very smart and tidy), fans were very friendly and a nice little pub near the ground.

As for the next two home games, we couldnt of asked for much better. The fixtures have been very friendly to us when it comes to mid-week games. At least we dont have to worry about traveling to Northwich on a Friday night AGAIN!!!

Cant wait for the season to start

Southport and Morecambe are by the sea.

Quite pleased we have Accrington first. Later in the season when the winter really sets it is not a particularly appealing trip!!

March looks a killer with away trips to Scarborough, Altrincham and Morecambe, will certainly rack up the miles then.

Cambridge on New Years Eve should be good but the icing on the cake is Grays away on Boxing Day. That promises to be a real epic.

I echo the previous comments. Accrington was a very welcoming and friendly club last year who appreciated our efforts as fans. A really big club house that still managed to get full to the brim at half time. I'd take a point there (or at any away ground!) and look to win our home games. 84 points, 2 less than Barnet last year - We're gonna win the league!!!

Ooooops, cheers Yellow - read the fixtures wrong and thought we had Scarborough away before the end of summer.

It's worse than I thought! - no seaside days out this summer - Exeter away in December, Southport and Scarborough are late Feb and early March. Hopefully the sun will be shining on Morecombe late March. I'll have to pack me thermals........

On a seperate note - bit disappointed that Woking away is on a Tuesday night <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Same here. Stevenage is also a Tuesday night so might be a bit difficult to get to.

Think you'll be surprised, especially when we took a full coach to Carlisle on the opening day last year. A summer with no footy certainly wets the appetite, and as others have already said, the Accy lot were a real good bunch. Lookng forward to it!!!

COME ON YOU YELLLLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
