The people of London and Britain survived the worst that two World Wars and the IRA could throw at them. I'm sure they will treat this atrocity the same way and with the same resolve!
Sympathy to the victims and their families!

Deepest condolences to those who have lost family and loved ones in these heinous acts of barbarity. Stand tall, stand strong. We stand beside you.

I've allowed 24 hours to let the news sink in to avoid a knee-jerk reaction.

The Germans tried it in the second world war.

The I.R.A. tried it off and on for years.

This just goes to show the lack of intelligence of this minority of mindless religious fanatics.

WE ARE BRITISH, FOR GODS SAKE ! WE WILL NOT GIVE IN !

Australia's leader of the Opposition, Kim Beasley:

"These terrorists are sub-human filth. They need to be captured and eliminated."

Here, here!

I know your young but grow up. People in London are dead. Slough is unlikly to be attacked by Terrorists now is it? Where i live police can often been seen making sure people don't shoot down the planes. I live directly under the flight path but i get on with it. If you let the actions of a few sick mindinded people change your life they've won.

Much to the chagrin of Sir John Betjemen.

Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough! It isn't fit for humans now

Sorry Woody...couldn't resist it! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/achso.gif" alt="" />

quotes I read yesterday:

"No candles, no outpouring of grief, no hoards of gawkers milling around police tape, no teddy bears, no bouquets of flowers. No movement. No tears. Everything normal, except, maybe for that bus with the top blown off. Workers cleared and cleaned up the area real well. Spiffy. And got back to their pints."

"Nice one, Al Quaeda - you profess to be from a teetotal religion, and you've given the pub trade a massive mid-week boost. Other than causing the grief of too many innocent people, these c***s will have achieved precisely f**k all. We shall not be moved."

"I'm not concerned that Londoners will be defeated by this. Afterall, they survived the Blitz. And that time, the perpetrators were better equipped, smarter and better dressed."

"I tell you what, if this is an 'Islamic' terrorist attack, they're doing a piss-poor job. The pubs are all packed out, people sipping their pints happily, all a tad pissed off, but basically fine with it,"

Just got home from work , im a van driver . my main delivery point is edgware road w2 . What a weird feeling it was driving up and down that road when i could see dead bodies being brought up from the station . i felt guilty to be working as them poor people were killed only the day before on their way to work . I got a very eery feeling down there and it hit home the size of this attack someones mum, dad, brother, son, sister, auntie, uncle, cousin, grandma, grampa was lying dead on a strecther yards from me .
The ambulance service , police and fire service deserve a huge pat on the back for how they handled yesterday they are all far better people than myself .
I SALUTE U <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

Well said Billy Cove !

Your feeling of 'guilt' is quite natural. Getting on with life just proves that these fanatics are just waisting their time.

What odds would you give on Hamza Hook being deported to the States now, to face a Death Sentence ?

Quite agree Billy, BUT, we are supposed to be living in a humane society, though I think that's questionable.

Is anyone worried that the people who carried out the bombings are now THOUGHT to be British born and bred?
It is worrying enough that people would come from a foriegn country, but to commit an act like that against your own people.
