Explosions in London

Recommended Posts

its not a simple as that fleetie....this is a whole new ball game with an enemy that we don't understand and an enemy that we have ignored for generations until it was too late....

our security forces do not have the ethnic understanding of this enemy...we neither speak their languages nor understand their creeds and cultures.....the muslim religion may be peaceful in its preachings on the one hand but is totally intolerant of western culture on the other....

as much as most of the muslim communities are law abiding...the gap between east and west shall always remain...

answer...?

there is none...the security forces are now desperately trying to recruit asian muslims into their ranks.....do they know who these people really are...?...how do they know that the new recruits are not subversives..?....how can we take that risk...?

the four suicide bombers were all under the radar and unknown to the security forces...burgess and mclean will pale into insignificance in the history of traitors and double agrents in MI5/6...

there is no way of telling what these people are doing because we cannot understand their language nor their religeous beliefs....their lack of tolerance outside of their own cultural teachings make it impossible to comprehend.......

if we learn to understand how a 19 year old muslim born in this country and educated here can blow up a train with his fellow countrymen and women on it...(european and asian and african) all harmless people....we shall learn what the enemy are thinking....

but we never will learn the answer...

kipling knew...

'east is east and west is west, and never the twain shall meet'

Is anyone worried that the people who carried out the bombings are now THOUGHT to be British born and bred?
It is worrying enough that people would come from a foriegn country, but to commit an act like that against your own people.

Which takes us back to the argument of a multi-cultural society. Call it racist but a lot of these people do not belong here. I know it will stir up the pc brigade on here, who already think I'm a racist, but there's a lot of people saying Enoch Powell was right.

These terrorists may be British due to place of birth but their culture lies far, far away from these isles.

Not being PC but how do you recognise those who belong and those who don't? Other than the likes of Abu Hamza, etc, who preach intolerance and violence openly and therefore could well justify their own ejection from the country, where do you point the finger? From what I've read, these terrorists weren't run-of-the-mill haters of the West, indeed their parents seemed happy to embrace a secular Western culture. Most of them grew up perfectly 'normally' and, again my opinion being formed only by what I've read so far, they didn't show any anti-Western tendencies until visits to Pakistan and/or involvement in extremist religion. They are an invisible enemy... and while I'm all for squeezing the liberties and freedom of speech of scum like Hamza, how do you stop those you don't know about?

There's really only one answer to that.

I'm not allowed to say it.

Answer me this - do we really have a multi-cultural society?

Or merely one nation made up of different cultures that do not mix?

I'll admit to there being a lot of white people who wouldn't want to mix but the uk is full of lots of 'ethnic ghettos', for want of a better phrase.

Not to say that these are poor areas but merely full of ethnic communities who don't mix and 'stay with their own'.

That's where things go wrong - when individuals want the freedom that Great Britain provides but do not wish to embrace the culture of the west. These families that are embracing it - are they really?

Multicultural is an impossible dream as it calls for tolerance from all parties

With the IRA it was impossible due to blind religious intolerance, and that intolerance supported by their populace at large with the Followers of Islam it is an even wider divide with fundamentalist believing that all non-Islamists must be destroyed

For any form of multiculterism to be a success there must be give and take

but if people in any country kill their own countrymen(for political or religious reasons), then they should be tried as traitors.

Been thinking the same thing,AFF1.
It should be a treasonable offence, with capital punishment as its sentence.

Anyway, 4 out of the 5 have blown themselves up...so at least we don't have to pay for these scum bags to see out the remainder of their lives in the Clink.

btw, Whatever happened to the Iranian Embassy terrorist, who the SAS could not shoot (despite wanting to) because it was within view of photographers?
Is he still inside? Did he get deported?

But surely white Britain and the establishment has a responsibility to help them integrate too? It's a two-way thing.

As Stu rightly says, these incidents show that you simply can't differentiate between those who are potential suicide bombers and those who are not. Terrorism can never be considered 100% preventable, as the Oklahoma bombings - perpetrated by a white American - demonstrate all too clearly.

The problem is that terrorism is a much more vague operation these days - it's hardly like in decades past, where fixed groups (in Britain's case, the IRA) were known to be the perpetrators, and that's the major worry.

best thing to do would be to drive down bradford highstreet in a truck and everyone of them that you see chuck in the back lol.

Hilarious - 'cause they're all suicide bombers, aren't they? Anyone who finds that 'joke' amusing is racist, pure and simple.

Which is why the UK spends millions trying to educate these people to speak English - the end result is a lot of them aren't interested, so we then spend millions more reprinting leaflets and suchlike in their languages. How are they going to integrate when they can't be arsed to learn the language?

Intergration isn't about letting them take over.
Why should primary school kids be expected to celebrate Diwali yet not Christmas?

It's about time more people realised that a lot of these people are here to milk the system and generally take the pee out of the UK taxpayers.

But again we come back to Stu's point that it's very difficult to differentiate - not just between those who may be potential suicide bombers and those that are not, I'd say, but between those that intend to work hard and those that don't. Indeed, particularly in the case of work, the same can be said for white Britons.
