Welcome to the pub!!

However we really could do with a name for this establishment. If you have any great ideas, then just let us know below....

Of course if you agree with a name suggested, just say so.... the most popular name will win .... a bag of ready salted crisps Or a pint off me, when you next see me

There's loads of pubs called The Kings Head or The Kings Arms already so why not be unique and call it The Kings Willy?

I was thinking of 'Ths Kings Ransom' ie what it costs to get in at Canvey these days!!!

Essy, love the Radiohead motif, is that from the official site??

Only snag is this site has nothing to do with Canvey - so it would be unfair to name it after Canvey's boss!

I am sorry Mr admin....

but whatever the name would be it will have a connotation towards one team or another, it just happens people keeping on popping up with Canvey....

Having a team manager called 'King' sort of helps in naming a virtual pub!

SteveP - It's from an excellent but now never updated fansite, Follow Me Around.

Go to 'Images and Artwork' and there's a pages worth of .gifs etc for your use...

The Queen's Legs.
As in "Sorry Officer, I'm not loitering. I'm just waiting for the Queen's Legs to open!"

It sould be on the line of a silly pub chain theme

The Ref and Whistle
The Keeper and Gloves
The Trainer and Bucket
The Narrow White Line
The Sub and Bench
The Ball and Pump
The First Eleven
The Youth Team Banned
The Manager's Pissed
The Chairman's Wallet

I think you get it by now

---------
4 pints of Fosters for me and another 5 for Fruitbat

How about 'The Corner Flag'? Rather lends itself to a pub sign too.

My all time favourite name for a pub is the "Frog and Giggling Marxist"

Nothing to do with football though

Here is my Obscure collection...

The Random Pub Name - But is it art??

The Death Star - I think we lack presence, this might just be the title to enforce a bit more authority, but only as long as I am Darth...

Tandoori Nights - Every good night in a pub is followed by a hooky indian meal, why does it need to be a pub? Can't we drink some Cobra beer and eats some naans instead..

Le Stade de Lunaire - Translation of French 'Stadium of Light' was pushing Chesham to change it's name to this when we got new floodlights, only like it because it makes me laugh.. In other words I can't think of a rational reason, like most pub names.

Conventional

The Clean Sheet

The Pitch & Shooter

The Technical Area - (that's a bit more of a Soho Bar than a pub)

the simplest and my favoured choice would be..

The Ball and Net - see ball being football, net being net in a goal and the 'internet'.

Too much time on your hands can be dangerous.....
