An impressive two minutes

Recommended Posts

I shared my two minute silence with the people vacated from every office block and shop in Fenchurch Street

Very stronge medicine with packed pavements as far as the eye could see either way and the silence unbroken by even the mildest of murmurs

Great stuff

Very poorly observed where I was. On a busy main road in Rochester the traffic couldn't halt for two bloody minutes.

Also my mum works near in London, traffic stopped and everybody silently stood round only for three girls to carry on walking through.

It may sound harsh but I hope someone they know is next. Not that them but someone they know and love. IT'S TWO

F!CKING MINUTES PEOPLE!

Probably churlish of me to have a pop, but the Trafalgar Square vigil... was there ANY NEED for that rap group? Or Richard and Judy? Call me old-fashioned, but grieving, defiance and coming together can be better expressed than wheeling out celebrities to trot out poems. I half expected Fran Cosgrave and Rebecca Loos after Michael Grecco appeared.

All I'm going to say on the matter, is that I am so pleased that the VAST MAJORITY of Muslims, along with Jews and people of other religious persuasions, are banding together with Christians to totally condemn this outrage.

Maybe someone in Ragonheadabad will get the message ????

(Ooooh look ! Another pig flying over my garden !)

I wouldn't be too sure about that - i've worked with three particular muslims for over 25 years and thought them as friends, but two of them refused to observe the silence & carried on working while the rest of us stood quiet.

That's the trouble with their religion, you just never know what they think do you?

I also work for a Muslim owned company, the managing director joined us outside for 2 minutes but 5 people remained inside and carried on working. I'll leave you to work out which faith they follow. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
