Anybody know where this is? I know Waltham abbey fairly well but I've never heard of this place.

Yes it certainly is. My old Cricket team used to play there, biggest threat playing there is all the dog pooh that you'll land in.

So was Southbury Road until the wall was built around it ... bit like Brimsdown's ground really ?

Waltham Abbey 1-1 Enfield . A detailed report is on waltham abbey forum. Thanks Abbeyman for that.
Greg Howell 89 mins for E's , sontag for Abbey well into stoppage time. Danny Clarke turned out for E's in this match.

He's probably committed himself ,as long as a better offer doesn't become available (which is normally the case at this level). It looks like EFC could have a strong forward line with Cooper,Clarke, and Bunn (if he's back as well).I feel the rest of the team won't quite be a strong as last year.I predict, bottom half for them after six games, with a gradual progression up the league after that settling in period.

I didn't go in the end- Russ tells me big Al is back as well. Looking good for the new season- I'd reckon we've got enough to beat the drop, but I'm not expecting a promotion push- mind you a lot of the teams we're playing we know nothing about so we'll see.

Bunn, Bunn the bakers son scored for East Thurrock in their match against Hornchurch, so a return to 1893 seems unlikely. Jamie Richards also scored, I believe, and Jason Geraghty also played for East Thurrock. Thats assuming the match report on the Hornchurch message board is correct.

I hear that Jamie Richards was at our game v Abbey, so maybe he's weighing up his options.
