I know things have been out sourced abroad, but please can someone tell me where to contact the boss to stop these phone companies keep ringing me like TALK TALK, you dont save me money

 

A message to double glazing companies that say, we are in your road, can we quote you for, if you had a look you would see I have everything, so naff off and research the property before you ring

 

How many travel agents assisants have actually been to the same place as where you want to book, cause they all say, I went there, its a great place, yeah right

 

Tesco's say can I pack your bag, yes please I say, then they look at you and think I bet, lazy git.

You can ask for your telephone number to be put on a list which protects you from unsolicited calls. Cant remember what its called but its national and companies cannot call you if youve been put on this list. It caused some trouble with political parties back during the election this year, coz they counted as a company so they couldnt call those people on the list.

One pet hate I have are people who blatantly ignore signs which are out there to inform people so it makes it easier for them.

 

Example is today. Ar work we recently installed an air conditioning unit, so during the summer its nice and cool (works a beaut). Weve posted up a sign by the front door asking people to close the door behind them. Does anybody notice? Well some do and close the door behind them, but then there are those morons who read the sign but couldnt care less. Their ignorance of the sign means I have to walk round and shut the door behind them. Over a 4 hour period this gets rather irritating, especially given its a Lottery day sometimes so it gets busy.

It gets me when and it's normally music,people say that what you like is awful and you should listen to what they like as that is the only decent music. I like what I like because I like it and if we all liked exactly the same things it would be a very boring world and nothing would ever change as there would be no need as no one would like the new stuff.

 

Also someone once told me I was too young to like The Small Faces but you never hear something like that said to anyone who likes Beethoven, Mozart or any of that classical stuff.

I just say that I will get the person to speak to them and lay the phone down and leave it, it's their time and money that being wasted.

One thing I find concerning are the people who call asking if I have life insurance... Reply by asking them if they are threatening you!

Best defence against annoying phone calls is caller ID. If you don't want to go to the expense, do what i used to do. When they tell you what they want.......tell them to hang on as the dorbell has just rung. Put the phone on top of the TV or something with a speaker......It causes harmonics on the phone............leave it there for 10 minutes then check to see if they are still there. If they are,,,,,,,they deserve 5 minutes of your time!

Thanks Les, will have to try that, another one is to say sorry if you called a couple of minutes earlier they could have talked to you, but sadly they have just died running to answer this call

Another tip...when they say who they are,,,,,say ..."Sorry wrong number!", and put the phone down.....then laugh at what that person must be wondering.
