Do we still have the services of nick Turner who did a good job for our back line last season, I'm a bit miffed to see precious at cheshunt, And I think John stevenson is with the townies.

John is also likely to play first team for Enfield Town, now we have Big Al,Dave Greenwood and Kilroy neither he or Precious would be guaranteed a start.

As far as I can remember the squad is something like this...

GKP Robinson, Munn

DEF Hannigan, Faulkner, Jamie Barry, Greenwood, Kilroy, Whittington, Turner

MID Dave Hunt, Howell, Beale, Chadwick, Patrick, Henderson, Sid (remember him!)

ATT Clarke, Hammond, Cooper, Alleyne

There are also a couple of young players- I forget their names, plus rumours that Ricco and another Hertford player might still sign up.

Stephenson isn't guaranteed a start for the Town.Yesterday was the first time he's started a game for us, and we had three centre backs unavailable. He does look decent quality though, apart from maybe gives away too many free kicks.

Jon Stevenson left Potters Bar Town halfway through the season two years ago on the basis that it was "too serious" for him and he did not enjoy all the training. He then joined Whitewebbs in the Herts County League.

We had no problems with him going in the circumstances, LS. Even though he is now back in the semi-pro game, it is all water under the bridge as far as we are concerned.

It's never a good idea to let players leave with a cloud hanging over them. There is always the chance that things may not work out at a new club and they are always more likely to want to come back if they left on good terms. Richard Howard will be transferred from PBT to Enfield Town tomorrow lunchtime as it is what he wants to do and we have agreed his request. Time will tell if it turns out to be a good move for him.

I am sure it will prove a good move for the player AND the Town. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Is there only one person at Potters Bar Town Football Club? Or does everyone there simply speak with one voice?!

(either way, its very impressive that a football club is able to navigate the forums - what with it lacking opposable thumbs!)

I just prefer to speak honestly and informatively, but I do try to keep away from the more stupid threads that appear on various forums.

If you would care to have another look, my involvement on this thread began with a comment on Jon Stevenson. OldTowner brought up the subject of Richard Howard on this forum, not me. Looks like I'm not the only person navigating the forums. Isn't that how you got here, Gonzo?

Question for syrup, Is the promising youngster Mike deane still with us I havent seen his name crop up in pre season as yet. He did have a good finish to the season and looked to be getting better the more he played.

Ah! So YOU ARE a person!
(I was just curious as to how a football club was able to navigate a keyboard. Hang on a minute......does this mean there is an incarnation of Enfield Town wandering around but he hasn't found this forum yet?! Nope, its no use, i'm still confused.....)

John Stevenson is a good player and will benefit any side he plays for, i know him well and i can assure you he has the ability to go along way (although i will never tell this to the kids face)
Strong in the air, comfortable with both feet adores a challenge admittedly can be carelss by giving away too many free kicks but thats a fault that can be easily removed from his game!!

name me a defender in a current ETFC EFC sqaud with two good feet? players nowaday use there weak foot only for standing on!!
