Andy Pape told me Dave's back at EFC as Director of Football. As he was suitably cheesed off about his players being tapped up, I guess he knows what he's talking about.

Is it possible to sack a manager because of poor behaviour and bad disipline, and then re-employ him as director of football?

Does seem a bit strange.

I can vouch that Syrup has never tapped up any Hendon players. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" />

From what I heard some of Jim's players wanted to jump ship, but Macca said they weren't good enough!

I can think of a few players who may well have wanted to move on, principally because they weren't good enough to be getting first team football. I doubt whether EFC would have been interested or the players concerned have been interested in travelling to Ware, even if they knew where it was.
