Bloody things should be banned! Young lady 2 doors down from us has one, as do several thousand (it seems) of her chums..... like a horde of angry wasps all hours of the night!

trust me...I have a chav for a brother and all his mates have them...

I've tampered with some of them (fireworks and the like) as they get on my [****!!****] nerves.

You may be considerate but to not annoy anyone you'd have to push it around all the time!!!!

I'm never sure if it's a scooter or one of those bloody ringtones....

Surely they (the scooters) must contravene some law or other?

I Advise You To Buy Second Hand, It's Not Worth Buying Brand New Mate.

Well i've got my parents giving me mouthfulls about 'how i should find my own way around', everytime i want them to give me a lift somewhere, so i want to do something about it VERY soon!! So i thought buying a bike would solve it all! Yeh i've looked on e-bay, but it's quite hard to find a bike which is in picking up distance from me, i find a nice, good offer and then i find out i have to pick it up from Leeds, considering i live in Southampton, i think thats a no no!

Does anyone know of any other good companys or places to buy second hand bikes??

Cheers!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" />

You're better off in a car!

A nephew of mine advises:

Take a piccy along to your Mum of "the bike you want", preferably a 650 Honda or bigger, preferably cornering at about 20 degrees to the horizontal, and tell her it will do 0 - 80 in 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 180mph (doesn't matter if it won't!) and wait for her urgent discussion with your Dad......

Evil!

17 year old boy died on one (50cc) in Bedford Saturday morning in an acident involving no other vehicles. Wait and get a car gents, allow yer parents to sleep at night a little easier..To easy to have an horrific accident which is not even any fault of your own.

You make it sound like people in cars don't die.

Let him get a scooter. I've got a moped and it's great. As long as you are sensible there's nothing to worry about.
