What a complete joke!!
I think the next deal in the pipelin will be a groundshare with Wimbledon in Dublin!!!
If the club goes to Stortford, they've lost my support!

I have only been to Bishop's Sortford's new ground once (for an EFC home game against Boreham Wood the other year) and drove there. How far is it from the station – there are EFC fans who either can't drive or want a drink when they go to games, so they rely on public transport. How much extra is it going to cost to get there?
OK, Borehamwood isn't in the Borough of Enfield but it is only two buses from Southbury Road and it is within the travelcard zones (even though you need a 3-zone card on the 107 because it is further out than Stirling Corner).
I can only see this alienating even more EFC fans and they aren't all going to join us in Brimsdown – some won't on principle.
Congratulations Mr Lazarou, you're going to wreck Saturdays for even more people now!
BTW, if this has got the green light, why weren't Farnborough allowed to groundshare with Kingstonian? After all, the proposal was turned down under the "conurbation" rule.

It'll certainly be the last straw if the club moves to Stortford.......so you never know, I may too come across to "Town"!

It would be great to see you Chris M!
All supporters are made to feel most welcome and this goes for all Enfield Supporters.
Hopefully we will have our new design ground well on its way and some silverware in the cabinet.
Why not pop along to Ware for our first ever Cup final this Saturday and you will be able to say you were there!
Non-league football is all about being local and enjoying yourself. If you agree with this, then you will not be dissapointed at ETFC!
Go on, you know you wanna!
images/icons/wink.gif" border="0

Come on Tony dont you think the club has moved enough!!!! isnt there still a year left at the wood? Still no comment from the club but every other bloody site has got the news on it! but the enfield site has'nt, takes the p*ss that does! Now that Harding has left St albans surely that would be better if he wants the club moved again!
Dont want to upset the St alband fans though but I thought that might be better at least! images/icons/mad.gif" border="0

I have not lived in Enfield for very many years now, but I seem to remember that getting to Bishop Stortford was just a matter of getting a train northwards from Enfield Chase station. Is my memory playing me tricks? Have the train services changed?

Colin, I'm afraid the old memory is playing tricks with you. Stortford was never reached from Enfield Chase - only from the lines in the East of the borough (ie. either the Lea Valley or the Southbury Loop).
In addition, probably you are unaware that the
location of Stortford's ground has changed. It's no longer an easy walk from the station, but it is now relocated out to the North East 'boonies' near the M11/Stansted Airport junction.

I'm not taking the micky out of EFC fans so please don't start another slanging match off. However, if this is the truth, I do feel that Town fans are now vindicated in their actions.
Come on EFC fans it is the fans who make a club and the grass is greener on the other side. Come and watch the Cherry Red final on Saturday adn get a feel for the great atmosphere around Enfield Town Football Club. Kick that scumbag Lazarou into touch once and for all!
images/icons/smile.gif" border="0 images/icons/smile.gif" border="0 images/icons/smile.gif" border="0 images/icons/smile.gif" border="0 images/icons/smile.gif" border="0 images/icons/smile.gif" border="0 images/icons/smile.gif" border="0 images/icons/smile.gif" border="0
Shreddies do not keep hunger locked up till lunchtime!

I have just read the note on BSFC website, I can't believe it (no disrespect to BSFC they have a great little ground and facilities)
Surely even TL would'nt do this to EFC supporters
I truely hope for your sake he doesn't, it does say that it is not finalised so there is still hope.
Best wishes to all EFC supporters and hope that you are not made to trawl over to Stortford for a home game.
I think you'll find that goes for most (I hope all) ETFC fans
Cheers

I hope that this deal has'nt got the go ahead. I for one wont go to another game while my team play at bsfc. I for one think this idea is truely the last stab in the back for all the fans left! I think whatever idea is behind this it cant be a good one! As a fan has all ready said whats up with asking st albans to ground share? or even hendon, harrow, or even seeing out the year left at boreham wood and then moveing on? Have you lot lost your mind's???
