Mr H,

That was unnecessary. OK, so we didn't like what was happening at EFC so we moved. OK, so most of us moved and our average home crowd is between 250 and 300. But I don't think it fair that you are sniping at Es fans for staying. Don't forget there are Es fans who come along to a few Town games and Town fans who have been along to see the Es, so there isn't a Berlin-style Wall keeping us apart or anything.

Please calm down a bit.

I ate'nt gonna start all the previous stuff off again. Suffice to say, I never had any problem with those people who actually stayed with EFC for doing so (as I have stated on numerous occasions this season).

Sorry guys. I was just in a mischievous mood. I genuinely don't have a problem with the Es and wish the team all the best (obviuosly not the Chair thing). I wasn't really sniping and maybe we should all try and enjoy a bit more banter without getting up-tight!

...a bit of sniping...the problem is that the situation at EFC is still not good and all your sniping does is piss people off...it's great that Town have done so well in there first season, but to be honest EFC, against all the odds and everyone's expectations, have not had too bad a season - considering all the problems.

I don't hear anyone from Town saying anything positive about our season, so the sniping then seems vindictive... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

'EFC, against all the odds and everyone's expectations, have not had too bad a season'

What an extraordinary comment - we've had a terrible season and the majority of the ETFC games I've attended have been much more enjoyable!

Yes, Tom did well to keep us up with the resources that were made available to him but we should not accept that as the limit of EFC's ambitions.

What were the disagreements that left to even him leaving 'by mutual consent'? I think we should be told.

The team completed its fixtures without going bust? The Chairman went a whole season before the manager left 'by mutual consent'? The team avoided the single relegation spot? None of those seems to me to be worthy of particular note.

Believe me, if the team had produced a decent run in any of the cups then I would have offered sincere congratulations. But if you think that the 'achievements' listed above are worthy of praise then things are even worse than I had previously thought.

As is the Enigma (up by the station) – not as good as the Hart & Spool but it does have Adnams as the regular ale.

Anyway, Adnams' best brew is probably Regatta, starring as a guest in Punch Taverns all over London at the moment, but selling out fast!
