There's a shortage of £20 notes in their bar till, please take as many as you can and use them to pay for your drinks. It'll make the guy behind the bar a very happy man.

If anybody needs a lift in the eggmobile it's all fuelled up and ready to go just give us a ring.

Hah, hah. you guys are going to love this fella. When we played APSA (who shared there) a couple of seasons ago I asked for a cigar and offered a ten pound note. I was told "Oh, f*uck off!". southport walked through the door at half time and was told "Shut the f*ckin' door!".

Yes do take lots of big notes with you and please report back with your findings. It will make interesting reading!!!!!

I know someone who won the £75 jackpot out of one of the clubhouse fruit machines after a game there. It was one of those machines that issue a receipt that you take to the bar to exchange for cash. They had only taken £76.30 all night so they were left with a net profit of £1.30 that night! I think the language was just as colourful then!

We've got two matches there in the next couple of weeks. Should be fun!

Sorry to spoil the fun, but the guy concerned has left Aveley. The very helpful chap who was running the bar at the APSA game last season told us all about it. Apparently, there had been numerous complaints about the bar manager, but the club was nervous of sacking him in view of the possible cost of any subsequent proceedings. It seems though that he walked before the club plucked up the courage to do the deed. Sounded like he'd had his hand in the till; perhaps he was too stupid to nick the notes!

Are you serious about those posters? If so, fair play to Aveley and I cannot wait for our game there.

How can MK James be barred? He's never caused any problems on these forums. Indeed, he's been one of the less antagonistic posters.
