could Keeling and Clarke play together, like one stays and one goes on a run. Imagine if the two could combine when going forward.

keeling and clarke will only work if one stays and one goes like you said, but if both go at the same time and lose the ball, a quick pass will take them both out of the game and will leave us bear at the back expose to a counter attack!!

That's where Sterling, Bimson, Ward, Bunce and Conroy should come into it. It's like giving 5 the license to attack and really create something and 5 to defend. As for their midfielders coming through, one of the other midfielders would have the legs to get back. I'm sure that having 5 behind the ball is better than getting caught out and having just three against strong fast forwards.

if you play it like that you will get gaps!! so when the attacking runs into the gaps it will bring the 5 players that are back towards the ball, and then a ball over the top will leak goals or a chance to score a goal!!

It seems that playing our way at this time is not getting the results. We need to be tight at the back which is crucial, hence the 5, but also have enough players actually attacking their goal and having a go. It kind of surrenders the middle of the park but that's where Sterling comes in to get that tackle in plus another of our midfielders helping out, if they are quick enough!

A good performance that could've been so much better today!

Wardy or Bimson for Man of the Match, Sterling performed well also at the back.

Good goal from JK, cool and calm, well placed the rebound.

Ibe was unlucky not to have one of his own, had he hammered that ball, the deflection would've sent it into the back of the net or out to Hallett, (Had he crossed it to Hallett first, he would've been offside).

Now a bit of a moan - Our Midfield, I thought two of the four were quite poor today, (Clarke and Sedgemore) another (Minton) has just lost the edge.

Clarke is too laid back for my liking and I think Sedgemore just goes on walkabouts. I'd like to see a Bimson type character come in to take over from Sedgemore, possibly McGhee but he has no chance while being on the list.

Ibe and Hallett were pushed, pulled, grabbed, punched, choked and flattened throughout that second half.

Scarborough's Mark Quayle was very quiet today, thought he would have had more potencey as he did at Northwich. Their No. 11 was very good, Ian Clarke I think it was.

Three more points put's us up to 15th leap frogging Scarborough and I'm confident that if the team that played today played to their potential next weekend we'd easily get a result from Southport.

No 9 made a mess of the game for me, it would have been 3-0 at half time if he went for it a bit more. Needs to take off a stone or so to get fit. Looks out of place. Not Conference standard!

No1 was better than last week, more speed.

We should have brought subs on earlier as Ibe looked worn out.

The important thing is we Won, another 3 points and 15 in the league according to teletex.

Hard fought performance today. We dominated the first half but could have been pegged back when Chenners had to clear off the line.

Second half was a bit of a scrap. They hit the bar and Richard made an unbelievable block from their forward.

Ibe was so unlucky not to finish that chance off at the end. Did everything right but shot lacked power.

For me Dom Sterling was man of the match. Won everything in the air and made several great interventions. Wardy was also strong. Thought Clarke did OK, nothing special but better than recent outings.

As for Ibe, the guy is class. His work rate is unbelievable and he is such a handful for defences with his pace, skill and strength.

He adds another dimension to our play and is the big, powerful forward we have been crying out for, for so long.

Richard McKinney had an excellent game in goal. Made a couple of good saves and very assured at taking out some awkward crosses.

Wasn't pretty at times today but the win was all that mattered and we thoroughly deserved it.

Just a quick mention to JK who had an excellent game. Took his goal well after good work by Mints and was generally tenacious down the right.

Thought Chenners did well at right back.

Couldn't get a message to the people who chose the MOM because of those bloody noisy singing and drumming miserable sods under the bus shelter!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

Hence, why the announcement wasn't made during the final moments of the game.

Instead of rushing home and coming on here why dont you use the facilities of the 2 bars at Park Lane and discuss the game there, if you had you would have seen Dom Sterling awarded his bottle of "Moet" to raptuous applause.

Well done to all those today who came and stayed after, the club was buzzing!

YELLOW, ive just read that column and im not happy, i suggest you buy the DVD. IT WAS A BLATANT PENALTY I TELL YA!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/attentat.gif" alt="" />

There may have been a slight nudge from Steve Potts but still feel you made the most of it!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Congrats to Dom Sterling on his MOM award. Was excellent today.

As an aside, crowd of 744 was a touch dissapointing considering the large crowds we've had recently at the Lane.

Good atmosphere though.

Hallett would have been onside if Ibe had of squared it in the dyeig minutes cos he was behind Ibe, but I'm not complaining. Excellent performance, Sterling was announced as Man of The Match, well deserved as well as did Bimson.

I have got to say the attendance was very disappointing, those young lads in the yellow army are a credit to the club.

I am sure the players would say the noise made in the last 15 minutes helped focus them on the job in hand.

I brought 5 lads with me yesterday two have only ever been a couple of years ago they could not belive the change in atmosphere.

They will be back, in fact the arguments have started amongst them as to who should go to Woking.

A good team performance yesterday and while a few players pushed for motm i think Sterling deserved it, he looks like he`s enjoying finally playing in his natural centre back position and that can only be good for the team.

Hallett done very well when he came on and looks a lot stronger than last season, not happy that Ibe didn`t square the ball to Hallett (who was onside) at the death but that`s what strikers are like i guess.

Finally after all the stick they`ve taken recently i must say i thought "the man in black" Mr Scott had a good game, always easy to say when you win and i doubt Scarborough fans will agree but he`s one of the better refs i`ve seen this season.

Agree he had a good game and could've easily let the game get out of control. Especailly with Ibe and some of their players.

There was an off the ball incident involving Ibe and one of their Defenders that it seems only I saw towards the end of the first half so I'll keep quiet about that <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I believe Mr. Scott only booked one player yesterday, although BBC contradicts my theory.
