Enfield 1-3 Rothwell
E's still without Jeff Hammond ,Owen beale,Nick Turner Greg Howell And Jimmy Faulkner had
an early warning when a shot from close range went just wide of E's goal on 3 mins.
Both sides were probing for chances but on 26 mins a poor headed clearance from one side of the box to the other and back again found its its way to Michael Boyle-Chong who made no mistake to put Rothwell ahead. Kyri Kyprianou was put through 35 mins and won the race with rothwell keeper Daimien Quailly only for kyri to be impeded as he put the ball around him ,lucky for quailly a couple of defenders got goal side of him but he was shown a yellow when may be another ref would have shown red. Rothwell were getting on top and wasted a couple of good chances as the the half finished. In the second half enfield started very positively with danny clarke causing problems , Mark Karikari had a shot blocked on the line and then saw the ball roll agonisingly past the post. A good save by quailly from clarke ,and a bullet header from dave greenwood just cleared the crossbar, Then good work by brewster with a perfect cross saw Dan Kennoy volley E's level on 55 mins, E's almost went in front but an incredible double save from quailly foiled Danny Clarke, But on 64 mins and totally against the run of play E's got caught at the back and a loose ball that looked to be going out was crossed for Kevin brooks to score, It soon became 3-1 to rothwell as another loose ball was picked up and crossed for Michael Boyle-chong to get between e's defenders to head in.To be fair rothwell just had these two chances during the second half , Danny clarke almost pulled one back but qiailly was again equal to it. Att 129 .... Owen Beale's Injured shoulder isn't as bad as first feared and could return at Harlow next week. E's are home to Uxbridge this coming tuesday.

I thought we deserved something from the game .But we had two defenders who let the rest down today. Why was nick left out again and where was jimmy.

I'd rather have nick in the back line than either of the two that let it slip yesterday. And why dont dan kennoy get a full 90 mins he looks o k.

rothwell aint all that but they beat us wot we need to do tuesday is play basic 4-4-2. 2 men sit in centre of midfield (kennoy and nelson) and 2 wingers (beale and watson) put smithy back at left back jamie barry at right back greenwood and kilroy centre-backs and leave kyri and karikari up front. job done. we'll win if we play that or my names not bad egg.
