Enfield 1 Rothwell 3

Well saturday was a little disapointing especially after we came right back into the game with a goal from Dan Kennoy. I thought we deserved more from the game than we got but thats life I guess and thats football. However, well battled E's much better in last few games so lets hope we keep improving and bring that into tonight against Uxbridge.

Enfield v Uxbridge

Must win I am afraid guys, as if we cant beat this lot we will be struggling this season! But I have faith and I think we will do this lot tonight, I certainly hope so! Forgetting what winning in the league is like!

Harlow v Enfield

Tough trip to a side that are doing well in the league so might struggle up there! Hope we can continue improving but given some of our results this season I cant see much coming from this game. All that coupled with a visit to the plush greenery of Harlow as well......Great!

Misc

Well done Enfield Town in the cup on friday night, good result against a Nationwide South side. Town are last Southern Division One East side in the cup this year so I wish you all the best in the replay.

From ETFC - Cheers, thanks for good luck comments. Much better than nasty comments. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

Can someone tell me why Uxbridge are performing so poorly? They were one of the favourites at the start of the season.

Cos they have played 7 games and won 1 drawn 1 and lost 5 !!
I was talking to a chap who had seen them this season...he said they were just "big blokes who lumped it" and had two rather large players at the back who kicked everything and anybody ! alledgedly !
I think they lost a few players from last season's play-off team ( lost to Maldon ) <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

A very poor game and E's created very little in the first half Mark karikari had a shot blocked by the keeper as did danny clarke .At the other end they had a few efforts from range but one needed lee robinson to make an excellant tip over. uxbidge got in front on 42 mins when a neat turn and pin point pass saw the ball placed past lee robinson. In the second period enfield dominated the early exchanges and desevedley levelled on 54 mins with danny clarke neatly sidestepping two defenders to slot home . On 67 mins lee robinson's punch clear lacked distance and was returned for a close range tap in. uxbridge then decided they'd done enough and tried to ride out the rest of the game . on 89 mins E's won a free kick and kevin kilroy drilled the ball home. Another disappointing match for E's tonight with three new faces coming into the squad has again appeared to have disrupted any semblence of order.

We ( Town ) play Uxbridge next week. I have been told they have a couple of big guys at the back but that is about it.
What is your view ?
Sounds like a poor game tonight. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

That number 5 of theirs is a dirty player he just kicks anybody around him .He should have been sent off after 10 minutes. I said I was going to hit him with my umbrellar when he came off at half time. But he looked at me as if i was some kind of nut.

We were poor against Uxbridge last night, normally I'd have said a draw when you've played bad is good, but we needed to beat them. Clarkey took his goal well, I thought Kilroy had another good game. More than anything though I think we need a settled side.
