On Tuesday. I hear the old place has been done up a bit.

 

We should have decent support with us, and we will be very noisy (watch out for the air raid siren!). I've heard your stewards can be a bit over the top. Any truth in that?

 

Also, what's the deal with the bar? Can away fans drink in there?

You're right, should be a cracker of a game.

 

A bit of opposition support will be welcome as, as you may have heard, our own support has increased dramatically. Could become a noisy affair but I'm sure our band will eventually drown out your air raid siren!

 

The stewards are a presence, they don't actually do or say anything...

 

With reference to the bar, the "old" clubhouse is now players and officials entrance only, however, the good thing is that we can now have a beer <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif" alt="" /> in the new Urchins bar, situated at the side of the pitch, whilst watching the game.

The ground has been given an extensive facelift and is much better...new changing rooms and showers etc etc..there is a new 1500 seater stand going up in the close season and until then the facilities for drinks and refreshments are somewhat limited. unfortunately nothing we can do about that at the mo...the urchins bar serves beer, soft drinks and hot pies and pasties etc...the old club house has been turned into a small bar and restaurant and on match days..due to the regulations for hosting visiting officials, the restaurant is used as the boardroom.. so restrictions by way of passes and no under 18's have to apply for the time being...if you can get a pass your welcome..if not see you at the urchins bar...best place anyway to be honest...our people even use it..facilities next year include two new bars and a big family restaurant.

 

Crowds at the stadium are much improved and our band are noisy...you'll enjoy...the security are there if required which they haven't been yet...we are really just getting used to being busier and its all a learning curve for next year....we get plenty of moaners but most visitors are decent people who appreciate what we are trying to do...the stewards are as good as gold and say nothing....we welcome you...enjoy the game...we'll look after you all best we can and good luck...footie is the name of the game...we're going to the prem...who's coming with us?

Harlow will bring 30 - tops. BTW "Urchins", any idea how you're going to be able to play in the Premier Division with a B graded stadium? I hear your new stand won't be constructed until after this season has ended. Therefore, you won't be promoted if you finish in the top two. Tee hee.

Nearer 50 I'd have thought. We took 30/40 to Slough in midweek, and Hornchurch is only up the road from us, so most of our home support (however poor) will travel.

 

I suppose a lot depends on Saturday v Berko. If we get stuffed and play badly, we won't bring as many, but if we get a win, it makes it a bigger game.

 

Oh, and believe me, the siren could drown out any band. It's bloody ridiculous. Be thankful you don't have to stand next to it! ;-)

oh...you'r back again are you..whats the matter...bored with your own park footie web site...just shows how much you know about non league footie sidney old boy...our ground will be ready for its A grade inspection by the end of November...only the new turnstyles to go and they are ordered and ready for delivery in two weeks...we will be there sidney fear not...you can come and play in the new stand next year if you want...3 bars,,150 seater restaurant,...new gym...it just gets better and better...the new stand doesn't come into the A grade listing...thats just a bonus for us loyal urchins to play with cause were all nice guys and thats why you keep coming onto our humble forum...by the way...have you noticed that the urchins forum is now third largest in the rymans league...where are you dear old sidney....nowhere....by the way...we like harlow...they are welcome and it doesn't matter how many they bring...our urchinettes will look after them...up yours...loser... defect now while its still not to late...we are still humouring you at the moment but your time will come old chap...beware the urchin curse..
