Don't know if this is true but one of our engineers who's an ex Royal Marine said that blokes in the navy used to kill seagulls when bored.

Apparently you put an alka-Seltzer in some bread and feed it to the gulls. The tablet then gives of gas when in the stomach. Apparently Gulls don't have the capability of belching or farting so the gas expands in the stomach until it explodes internally.

Not sure if thats true but obviously it's bloody cruel <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" />

This happens to Jim every away game at the back of the coach. Only difference is instead of alka-seltzer he uses Strongbow......!!

Getting back to names: Many years ago there was a book doing the rounds, it was about a seagull called Winston Livingstone Seagull. Obviously about a seagull but this chap always wanted to go beyond its normal capabilities, so it managed to fly higher than the others and so on, so forth, it made some really good reading; A bit like CanveyFC really, it could be said!!
