Southend v Nottingham Forest Today - A Canvey Drummer Spotted at Roots Hall

Finished 2-1 to Tottenham last night. Not a bad game, both teams had first teamers out.

Carl Fletcher, Shaun Newton and David Bellion for West Ham, Andy Reid, Sean Davis and Tom Huddlestone for Spurs.

West Ham scored early on with Elliot Ward heading home a corner, but Andy Reid scored a 25yrd rocket and Lee Barnard added in the second half to wrap it up.

A late impulse decision saw me, CIFC Islander and Yellow leg it over to Hornchurch to catch the last 20mins of their Essex Senior League Cup game against Tilbury, leaving poor Reisaldinho on the train! Finished 3-1 to Hornchurch, almost saw a couple of goals but some poor finishing and good goalkeeping denyed us.

Who's us? don't tell me Yellow has got you changing your loyalties

It wasn't my idea to go!!! Real rock n roll stuff last night, legging it from the tube and running all the way to the ground and then slipping through the gates for the last 20 minutes!!!

A quality evening. Reserves game was also good. Decent crowd there and very reasonable at £4 entry fee.

Is this true.......?

Can it be..........?

Surely not.........?

The Great Eckscape has jumped, but as of yet we remain unsure!!

Is he now a "Shrimper" or an "Urchin"

What say Yellow. I can feel a minute's silence coming on Saturday and maybe the sacrificial burning of Eckscape's drum.

It's a sad day for Park Lane. CIFC Forever.

I think he was quite happy that Southend lost to Rushden last night!! A certain Greg Pearson scoring the winner!!

And there is me thinking this was a Canvey forum!!!

Anyone caught in Hx, Sarfend or any other club should be made to buy a drink for everyone on the coach at the next away game.

This should be put forward at the next AGM.

Gary, there is ground hopping and scum hopping.

I feel so guilty about this dreadful development as i initially offered you guy's a lift and then remembered it clashed with the missus birthday!
I know i am a wimp but feel devastated that i let you youngsters travel alone to Dagger's ground ,but not to bloody Bridge Avenue as well, what are you like Yellow?

As for you Glen/Gary did you get a knock to the head in the charity match on sunday or is it the pressure of raising money for flags and badges and blow-up seagulls or the brain-damage sustained from banging a drum and singing for 90min's every week?

You lad's are all beginning to worry me as to how fanatical and dedicated to footy/CIFC anyone can be. And how many train tickets you must buy.

And long may your enthusiasm continue if only to encourage more through the turnstiles each game.

Funnilly enough our tickets didn't work at Upminster Bridge. It was a case of nearly setting all the alarms off to get through. Funnilly enough coming back the barriers were open!!

You didnt rebell, your just a bottle job Reiss.

As you say Chris, its the love of the game that made us do it. We only originaly decided to go 'Appy Hammers Vs your beloved spurs. It was just a random moment that we went hornchurch. On the way home from Dagenham, New there was about 25mins left of thier game so we thought sod it lets go for it.

As much as I go to every Canvey game home and away, if there's game going in Essex or the London region and I've got nothing planned, I'll be there! After all, what else is to spend money on!

I did warn you!
