I'd leave Minton and Noto out and put Tait in as an attacking midfielder, and play Ibe and Hallett/Boylan up with him.

Interesting.
Watching Tait closely, he can play a quick simple accurate pass and could either feed a front two or just link up as part of a pairing.

Addressing our defensive weaknesses, we need help in this area as it’s proving too much a strain for the back line and we concede to easily. To be fair, we are mostly playing full time teams so what should we expect. Could we get away with a front three and then let the rest mostly defend while breaking out when we can? Just lose out too many times in the critical area and at critical times on the whole.

Thought Tait and Lee played well together, they both seemed to have a good understanding and they put in 110% on Sat. I think dropping Clarkie made the difference and the inclusion of Sedgy and his goal made all the difference. Once again please can we make use of our subs, as I feel we are losing games, after all every other team seems to use all their subs, in good time not in the last 5 mins as we do. This is the only real critisism I have with the team selectors. What to others think?

I think our defence is put under pressure by the lack of substance in midfield but also have to say that our pace across the back is non existant when considering the pace of opposing front runners.

All together agree with an earlier post stating that our build up play is far too slow, we are not decisive enough with our one time passing; ie we seem to do a good job at winning the ball and then immediatly give away on the next passing action.

We do need more of a presence in midfield. Just someone to get those critical tackles in would help the defence.

As regards to lack of pace at the back, never seen him but what's Conroy like and is he ready for this level. He'll never get the experience if we don't try him out.

I was very impressed with Conroy in pre season and looked like he could play anywhere at the back. Have seen him play for the reserves quite a bit now and to be honest have not been that impressed as i was pre season but given a chance in the first team he could really excell as reserve team footy is hardly good for your motivation. Maybe now is the time to try him as we have a few injuries at the back.

I have a feeling he may well start the Daggers ESC game next Tuesday. If he plays well then he could get a further chance to impress in the team.

Not sure how Conroy would force his way into the team at the moment unless a lot of players get injured or suspended. If he was to play right back he would have to jump ahead of Chenery (who i think has played well recently)and Duffy (i guess he`ll revert back to the right side when Bimson`s fit), at centre back Sterling and Ward are playing well and we have Bunce and McGhee (is he fit?) waiting to get a chance.

The ESC game is ideal for a few of the fringe players to get a full runout and maybe force themselves into the first X1.

I imagine with no game this weekend most of the first team will play on Tuesday.

When I was putting the flags up on Saturday, Ken Steggles was putting Conroy through one hell of a fitness test. He ran and ran and ran, and credit to him did what was asked. He's obviously putting the work in to try and force his way into the team, and with the effort he showed that day I'm sure his chance will come sooner rather than later.

All the goals conceeded on Saturday came from that area/side of the pitch. I don't think it hurts to give someone a go if it's the right game.

2 of their goals came from when they attacked our left side and all the goals went past Potter so should he be dropped?

Change to improve the team would be great, change for changes sake i`m not keen on. I honestly don`t know enough about Conroy to say he`s better or worse than what we have and i`m not sure how we can find out without chucking him in at the deep end but at the moment is it worth the gamble.

You can't drop Potter!! we already have one keeper on low confidence. How do you think Potters going to feel reading this knowing that YOU blamed him? He'll be devastated - Ash will be next.........

No i`m not blaming Potter (as i think you know ) just pointing out that if we dropped everyone who made a mistake during a game we would have a different X1 every game.
