Enfield 1-0 Arlesey Town

A nasty collision between Danny Clarke and James Taylor in the opening minutes saw both players being treated for a few minutes .Danny was able to continue but Taylor was forced to limp out of the game. Neither side threatened in the early exchanges but on 21 mins Nathan Smith's lob almost caught out Arlesey keeper nick bussey with him falling backwards to tip the ball round the post . On 24 mins E's Richard Worral let fly from 20 yards out only for Bussey to palm over the bar.But on 36 mins E's spell of pressure paid off when a good ball through the Arlesey defence saw Danny Clarke beat the offside flag and rolled his shot past bussey to put E's a goal up. Arlesey then appeared to wake up and pinned E's defence back for the remainer of the half but without testing lee robinson that much. The second period saw Arlesey come close in the first min when a corner looked to be going straight in but lee robinson just knocked it clear. From the resulting corner slack marking gave Barrington Belgrave a great chance but put his header just wide. E's weathered this early storm and almost scored again on 55 mins when michael spencers overhit cross eluded everyone and smacked against the crossbar. On 58 mins Danny clarke's pace gave him a good chance and as he was about to hammer home Dave Hatchet (an ex E ) bought Danny down. Penalty everyone shouted but Mr Muge decided a goalkick with Danny sprawled out for a couple of mins.An awful decision and infact one of several by the officials. Danny was taken off soon after. Arlesey were now throwing bodies forward and a brilliant tackle by owen Beale on 69 mins robbed Charlie Henry at the vital moment. On 75 mins a Howelling miss by Ex woking striker Darren Hay from 6 yards . Some desperate defending by Sid Nelson,Nick Turner,Paul Oshin,Michael spencer, Sherwin Stanley and Owen Beale were keeping Arlesey out but a late free kick from Ex spurs man Scott Houghton saw lee robinson fumble this shot over the bar. E's just about hung on with arlesey finishing with a flourish but just couldn't level matters up. ATT 122

Any side that can beat borehamwood 3-1 at meadow park must be a very good side .we rode our luck at times and some resolute defending saw us home .

I liked the little number 10 who got some stick off darren . He shouted back at darren you fat ---t. Even darren was suprised at that. By the way i thought Arlesey were pretty decent but I do agree that their number 9 had a stinker. Another side we beat that are up there with the town.

Depends what you mean by decent. From what I've seen I haven't seen any decent sides in this league. Apart from 3 or 4 players we're no good either.
