Can't be any worse than our penalty shootout victory over Aveley in the last round. One of the worst games I've seen in my life - and I've been to a few!

The cup ties are mainly squad matches for us this season. If we win Tuesday, then great; a few extra bob prize money and the possible chance to test ourselves against Premier Division opposition in the next round. If we lose, it frees up more midweek dates for our League programme and other cup matches. It also means that the League match at home to Enfield Town goes ahead in third round week as scheduled and we get vital income into the club before Christmas.

If we win on Tuesday week, then great; we get a high-profile home match against Brentford in the next round having, by that time, already played them at Griffin Park in the other Middlesex competition. If we lose, again we free up dates for other matches and there is no prize money to have lost out on.

Pretty much a win-win situation really.

Eggy - I genuinely am not interested in your comments, just making the point that I consider them to be pointless witterings. You won't find me as easy to wind up as some of the ETFC fans. If it keeps you happy, that's my last comment on the matter.

Probably won't be a complete side of squad players but it is, nevertheless, a chance to give a run out to some of those that don't get a regular 90 minutes.

What "Home advantage" you aint got a home you're squatters.
At least we've got our own ground, and after tonight we'll be playing in the next round.

You mean so the youngsters can see how the game should be played and where they'll want to play next year if any of them are good enough and have enough ambition to rise above the ESL where you'll be next year.

Very surprising the number of first team players we played tonight. With our team containing 10 first team regulars, and Enfield making 10 changes from Saturday's game there isn't really any point in commenting on the game, other than to say that Enfield didn't help their cause by getting two sent off.

Will probably be two completely different teams next week and a different result.
