I've managed to drag out news of the negotioations between our clubs. As your new neighbours I'd like to say 'thank you' for agreeing to fund our ground grading to the tune of 60,000 pounds so it is fit to host Ryman Premier football next season or Div 1 as it sadly seems likely to happen for you. I must say that I'm delighted to have you join us at this present time and I wish you and your supporters well. We hear that your chairman now has his sister on the board with him. Any more news on this I'll let you know. Seems as if you lot are in the dark there as to all Enfield related information...

Your chairman must be off his rocker to go into business with Tony Lazarou. I hope it doesn't mean the death Knell for Hertford.

Whats going on with this "move" then? Last time I went there, (only a little while ago!!) didnt seem to be any work going on anywhere in the ground! When do you have to tell the Ryman about the "move" (if still on!)?

I pretty sure that the league need to know by the 2nd or 3rd week in December (dont quote me).
You would have to ask someone at the club about the Hertford deal, as the fans wont know yet and I would guess and say that I dont think the fans will know untill it is signed, silled and delivered, but when that is who know's??
That is if the deal is still on!

I'm not expecting an answer, but I have emailed a question off re:the potential move. I really really really hope it doesn't happen, Hertford may be a bit too far for me to go. Have we ever approached B****t with a ground-share offer?

Spending £60,000 on improving Hertford also seems a bit excessive and where is the money coming from? Does it mean that he's buying into the ground?

It all seems a bit depressing - why can't we get our act together in Enfield borough!?!

On a lighter note, on the ETFC messageboard everyone's going on about how a couple of their players have left the club under what seems like a cloud. Anyway, one of them is Mr Pie himself James Bunn. Apparently he was considered their best 'flair' player and a great striker of a deadball...and there was I thinking that they might actually have a semi-good team. If he is their best 'flair' player, what the hell does it say for the rest of the team! Maybe thing's aren't that bad here after all!

regarding james bunn.....alhough his attitude probably had something to do with him being released,,i feel the main reason is,he just wasn't producing the required level of performance to warrant a place in the starting line up.....unlike enfield fc,we accept nothing but the best....we demand a player be 100% dedicated to the club (again unlike enfield fc).....having said that,,check out bunny's scoring record for enfield fc,and tell me how many of your current players can better it....i admire you supporters, for sticking with it,,but you must realise your club dosn't respect you,or care for you in the slightest.(although the management and players will appreciate your support.

Are you saying that EFC players are not 100% dedicated.
If you are, have you not heard of the word "libel"?
Or are you saying that EFC doesn't care if players are not 100% dedicated?

Oh dear, here we go again. It's time for a spot of Internet aggro! Let's not get too abusive this time folks!!!

In response to ONE TEAM, you are right in saying that EFC's management have no respect for the supporters but you are surely wrong in saying that the players don't give 100% to the club. Yes footballers do have 'off days' and yes, you do get the occassional mesfit who won't give 100% but the majority of semi-pro footballers play because they love the game!

Erm, right. Can I first state that my comment about James Bunn was based on what I read on the ETFC messageboard and what people were saying about Bunn, ie, he was their best flair player. I was having a little (yes only little) dig at this...

...but this whole 'our players are 100% dedicated, yours aren't' arguement is:

1. Boring
2. Subjective
3. Not really an issue.

I think both sets of fans will think there players are dedicated and certainly over the past three weeks (and in spite of losing last Saturday) I would suggest that there is no problem with the attitude of EFC players or I reckon the team management. Terry and the team over the past few weeks have taken time at the end of each match to applaud the support and they certainly play like they care. I think they are also playing better football than last year, although the league table doesn't reflect this.

There's no player hiding out on the pitch. Paul Armstrong has completely the right attitude up front (as you can see when he scores) and the rest of the team have the same commitment.

Now back to Bunn...maybe...

Most of our players are quite flairy. Bunny has a particular talent for making chances out of nothing, spotting an opening and exploiting it.

Back to the subject of Hertford, I would have thought that it might actually be easier to get to from Enfield, just hop on a train. I admit I don't know how far the ground is from either Hertford station, and of course it is no substitute for playing in your home town.

The ground is a brisk 15 minute walk from Hertford North station. Trains from Enfield Chase Gordon Hill etc....

regarding my comments about(not being happy with less than 100%) i was talking about the club in general(ie-the chairman/directors) NOT the players.....statements such as(we will be happy to avoid relegation,or decribing run-of-the mill ryman sides,as bigger oppositon-for example.....from what i hear committment and effort, from the players, are one of the few areas that does not need improving.....my other comment regarding dedication, concerns bringing in players for short amounts of time(perez/forde etc)... they may give 100% commitment whilst playing, but by definition they can not be DEDICATED to the club(perez not playing cup games,to avoid being cup-tied,for example)...also having a complete sqaud of players, that have only recently arrived at the club does not help.

I asked ONE TEAM to clear up what was meant by the post, and it has been answered very well. No one else seemed bothered by it at the time.

Why is my dedication in question here?, I live in Enfield, I work in Enfield.

I can contribute my wisdom anywhere I like. How do you know I don't already.

About Hertford Town, Not a nice walk in the dark, also if you go by car, the turning to the ground is not signposted after the one on the main road. Its very easy to miss so look out for the floodlights.
One other thing, never mind the stands being developed if Enfield go there, something has to be done about the pitch too.

Hertford Town seem to be very quiet about all this, with Matt Darrington over there and his past interest in Enfield I would have thought he would have commented with a yes or no.

As for the ground it has a B Grade at present and got that with no trouble I understand, so stepping up to the A should not be to much trouble.

Where the trouble may be in Enfield FC going there is the Ryman groundshareing rules. Lots of club may full foul of them over the next few year. With all the re-structering going on.

They may be trouble for clubs in the league as well as the likes of ETFC and AFC Wimbledon looking to share as an option to getting in.

I've spoken (by forum email) to Hetford FC's chairman.

The whole groundshare thing with Hertford is b*llsh*t. No one has approached them, they're not interested anyway and everyone would like to know who Hertford Boy is...can we get hold of his email address? B*llsh*tters need dealing with...

Robsy.
