Enfield's first ever sortie into this competition will now take place on SATURDAY 12th of september. As ourselves and cheshunt have a blank saturday. This has been moved from the 29th of september to accomodate cheshunt's Errea league cup tie . Another chance for our youngsters to Impress I would think.

I am of course in error It should indeed say the 12th of november next saturday. Thanks for pointing this out .

I beleive the penguin was actually talking to me brunob.

Our entry into the roy bailey trophy is so that our young and fringe players get some first team experience . Freebird is also the competitions secretary which is another reason we may have entered on this occasion.
It isn't strictly for Hertfordshire teams as Brimsdown and waltham Abbey have previously entered on numerous occasions.

Well thing is p/ender you'll be playing Cheshunts 1st team cause me and the rest of the resey players were no longer wanted, mind you i would have missed the game due to long term injury and playing against Enfield even at youth level was always a great encounter <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/diskussion.gif" alt="" />

I gather cheshunt dont have reserve side any longer so we would expect them to play their first team. Its a bloody pain to call this off when both sides have a free weekend.

cheshunt play at a higher level of football + they have no reserves so they shood play their 1st team + cheshunt is nearer to ware + its only trophy both sides can realistically win this season.

of course theyll be a bigger gate for the game against your boys but for us to repeat last seasons victory is a big ask plus as u guys are fond of sayin its only a local derby in terms of name not distance
