He asked the question about Enfield Fc's history. As we've witnessed a lot more of that history that the current EFC fans.I think were were justified to comment on history that WE were personally part of.
Also,Bad egg. So EFC were never the kings of non-league football? They HAVE been a various stages throughout the last century, make no mistake. They certainly were in the early 80's when we won the Gola/ conference. That team is rightly regarded as one of the best Non-league sides of all time.
You say you're not bothered about achieving past glories.I think thats the main difference between ourselves.
When Wimbledon moved out of merton, they ceased to represent the local community. You say fans and grounds come and go.So do areas that clubs represent and club names. When do the MK dons cease to be the old Wimbledon Fc.When they drop the 'Dons' part of the name. When they change their name to Milton Keynes(which they will in few years),can they still claim linearage to the old club, can they still claim they the same club,They will have completely different supporters, completely differnt stadium, in a completely different part of the country, with a completely different name.will they still be the same team.
What if EFC can't get back in the borough in the near future (which could well depend on co operation with ETFC by the way),say the FA insist that clubs can only represent the areas they play in (something that was discussed a few seasons ago). Will a team called Enfield/Ware Fc still be the same club?
