Bad Egg...
You have no knowledge of who I am OR how long I supported ENFIELD F.C., or what my involvement was within the Club.
So...keep you stupid comments to yourself.
I wish no ill to the NEW set up that the old EFC have out there in the sticks of Hertfordshire.
Good luck to the real 35 supporters.

Jim. I take your point, but why should we let the crap from Bad Egg go unanswered ?
Responses are NOT against EFC as a Club, who I have wished the best of luck on various forum debates.

Oh please...crawl back into your egg box.
You really are a joke and you really let down the EFC Club.

Do i have to ask the question again old towner how did you get senior status so quickly? Are you deliberately avoiding the question?

Err, I think we applied to join the Essex Senior League, and they were happy for us to join their league. So now you tell me, how comes you've slid down the non league pyramid and lost your fan base so quickly?

Err, PV got there before me...and gave a good response.
What is your problem Bad Egg ?
Could it be the League Table ?

My problem is that certain Towners bring it on themselves to promote their club on our forum. One of these Towners ( one of your directors I believe)seems to think it's ok to come on here on a regular basis and spread hearsay about players and club finances. And then you wonder why people bite back?

And I've got another problem. We are the real Enfield.I don't buy that argument that no club is bigger than the fans. Fans come and go, but the club is constant. I don't care if a percentage of fans went and formed a new club. Using that logic FC United are the real Manchester United. Liverpool are the real Everton. It doesn't make sense. Lovely Stuff gave several reasons why he thinks Enfield Town are the real Enfield but his arguments are flawed. He mentions the ground, which isn't actually yours and never will be. Enfield Town don't field top flight non-league players. he claims that EFC were never outside the top 2 levels of non-league football, not true we were in the Athenian League. He mentions kings of non-league football, again Enfield Town never have been kings of non-league football and they never will be. Football has moved on. Clubs in the Conference are full time.

As goes the senior status thing I don't really care, other people brought it to my attention. They suggested that it was unusual to be granted it so quickly from the FA and the Middx. FA. I dunno. Wot do u fink?

Good to see that you don't really care. Is that why you've asked the question 4 times in this thread? C'mon, fairs fair, I don't really care either, but how comes you have slid down the pyramid and lost your fan base so quickly? I dunno. Wot do u fink?

well good luck in finding the "original" enfield, i think you will find they left the boro' years ago and have not been seen since...........

however if it is football in Enfield you were looking for then, SOB is correct, it is alive and kicking just off Green St ENFIELD
The gentleman asked the question on our forum page NOT the E T F C .In his original post there is no mention of Enfield Town Just Enfield and Barnet. Now as I beleive you to be a director as I think I recognise your name as being so I'm suprised that you allow yourself to get involved in such a pointless discussion over someone you asked a simple question.

He asked the question about Enfield Fc's history. As we've witnessed a lot more of that history that the current EFC fans.I think were were justified to comment on history that WE were personally part of.

Also,Bad egg. So EFC were never the kings of non-league football? They HAVE been a various stages throughout the last century, make no mistake. They certainly were in the early 80's when we won the Gola/ conference. That team is rightly regarded as one of the best Non-league sides of all time.

You say you're not bothered about achieving past glories.I think thats the main difference between ourselves.

When Wimbledon moved out of merton, they ceased to represent the local community. You say fans and grounds come and go.So do areas that clubs represent and club names. When do the MK dons cease to be the old Wimbledon Fc.When they drop the 'Dons' part of the name. When they change their name to Milton Keynes(which they will in few years),can they still claim linearage to the old club, can they still claim they the same club,They will have completely different supporters, completely differnt stadium, in a completely different part of the country, with a completely different name.will they still be the same team.
What if EFC can't get back in the borough in the near future (which could well depend on co operation with ETFC by the way),say the FA insist that clubs can only represent the areas they play in (something that was discussed a few seasons ago). Will a team called Enfield/Ware Fc still be the same club?

Why dont you all grow up and move on. There is absolutely No point in dragging all this up again. Both clubs exist quite peacefully most of the time until this extremely small minority stir it all up again.

Let it lie for goodness sake.

Exactly.

The actual answer to the original question is:

The Original Enfield now play their home games at Ware FC. (nice ground too)

However Enfield Town is a seperate club who play their Home games at Goldsdown Road in Brimsdown.

Simple!!

I'm sorry to disappoint you all, but Bad Egg has been advised by the EFCSC to leave the forum for a month which he has reluctantly agreed to do.

I spoke to him on the phone and he said that when he comes on the forum he can't help winding other clubs fans up, but that he was aware that outsiders read this forum and that he didn't want to put the club in a bad light. He said and I quote" ill be back but when i cum back im gonna cum back as a good egg and dey wont know wots hit em pal". When I say advised by the EFCSC I mean unofficially by someone involved in the committee.

Now perhaps EVERYONE will let this EFC / ETFC thing drop and get back to thinking about their own clubs and save all the 'stuff' for games between the two.
