I suppose after giving your second string a run out last week in the ERREA cup your going to give the First team a run out tonight to see if you can keep a slender grip on the prospect of something shiny this season eh ?

That'll be the excuse for the rest of the season then eh ? we've never had our first team out.
Dont kid me that's as good as it gets aint it my old son ? 4-2 after being 2-0 up dont sound like there's any Bottle in your side, your no 5 an no 9 were here with Mr Lucas and they made the RIGHT choice to leave with him.( thank God for that )
Hope you do better in January.

The silence is Deafening dont you think ????
I also think that you should change one of your favourite players from Alan Woodward to Kieron Woodward of EFTFC cos you aint got anyone that good on your left flank.
An he came from us

Oshin(5)and Clarke(9)have been 2 of Lucas's better signings! The guy who played left back Salih isn't first choice. Woodward's a good left back but I'd doubt he'd come to us.

Give us a chance pal people are still coming in from work. Yes we were abysmal for the last 10 minutes of the first half onwards ,The second half our boys lacked any sort of conviction at all . We had 9 first team squad members on show ,missing was michael spencer who did a blinding job at borehamwood on saturday which was why we were exposed on that side. I still cant beleive the substitution of nick turner while at 3-2 and still in the game with him off howard did pretty much as he liked .But I have to admit I would have expected a better show from our boys. It was my first visit to the walk for 10 years or so . The last time it was just a pitch with a rail. Well done on your list of trophies last season .Whats the potters bar trophy ? who did you play to win it ? A nice little club and decent programme good value at a quid. Andy Martin was also very impressive I wouldn't mind seeing him in our front line.

The Potters Bar Charity Cup is our version of the Roy Bailey Trophy which you have entered this season. It is a competition for eight local sides with the aim to raise money for various local charities in the Potters Bar area.

We are the biggest club that enter it. Last season we defeated Elliott Star (Herts County League), Old Owens (Southern Amateur League) and Colney Heath (Spartan South Midlands League). Although we should always be favourites on paper, the local sides tend to raise their game against us and it takes some winning, hence the fact we have only won it five times in 30-odd years and last season was the first time we have ever won it in successive years.

We have already begun our defence with a 10-0 home win over Cuffley, under the management of Kevin Lucas and Kevin Hand - one of two competitive games we won under them.

Thanks for the comments re the club and the programme. The groundsman and programme editor have taken note.
