The past three results and, more importantly, 7 points have given heart to the belief that we can avoid the drop this year - which would be a disaster.

I missed both the away games. But certainly the home game against Hampton was fantastic. I haven't seen an Enfield side play with such confidence and with such good ground passing for a couple of seasons. Yes, Hampton are bottom; yes, in years gone by we would have brushed them aside without a thought; yes, their away support is as bad as ours. But if we hadn't beaten them it could have been us propping up the table. Instead we showed a quality on the day that gives me hope of better thing's to come. There was something else out on the pitch as well - a bit of passion and a desire to win. And it looks like it spilled over into the week - and no one can laugh at the result against the top 5 team.

Please guys - keep up the good work and good performances.

C'mon Enfield!

I see you agree that Pappa Laz wishes relegation on poor EFC. Lets hope for his sake that, like Tommy Boy last season, he doesn't get carried away, and keep 'em up again .

How the hell did you construe that little gem????

You Townies are all the same and just try to wreck anything that we have/are acheiving. Stick you your own site and leave us alone.

I don't agree with those sentiments Mr A. Not all of us want our former club Enfield to be relegated. I prefer to look on Enfield as you would an ex: you don't wish her badly and you keep in contact from time to time. However, you want to do better and there's a competitive edge. And you don't pay maintainence lol. Good luck you remaining E's - I admire your loyalty to the club. Good luck.

You have obviously not met my soon to be ex.....

Hpwever, I do agree that I too wish to see my old team staving off relegation and I am sorry Mr Angry but there are many who share Fruitbat's view.

the E's result is still the first result I look for and I consider this to be as much my site as anyone elses.

Exactly Jim,

I cannot see it is possible to support a team for 14 years like I did and them suddenly wish them ill. Ok, they may not be my no 1 any more, but Enfield FC were my team and if I have only half as much fun at Enfield Town as at Enfield then I am in for one hell of an experience! Enfield FC supporters: you have a history to be proud of. Enfield Town supporters: keep smiling!

We Enfield Town supporters are certainly not all the same! That would be quite remarkable. I wish Enfield success in the relegation battle, and I'm glad that recent matches have brought so many points. I certainly have no wish whatsoever to wreck anything you are achieving!

I have to agree, I too do not wish to see EFC struggling and wish them well, I have been very pleased to see the recent good results.

ETFC rightly or wrongly (depending on your opinion) are now my 1st team but I had some great times following EFC fondly remembered and I always look for their results.

Best wishes
