This week Nathan has been training with Northampton Town first team, and today he played a full match for their reserves.

 

Although Nathan didn’t score he played very well and was instrumental in Northampton’s 4-2 win over Barnet.

Superb news for Nathan (and the club) <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />. Good to see progression. Downside is the potential for a top player to leave us, but that is far outweighed. If Nathan is available for Saturday there is the chance he may go out with a bang! Well done and good luck Nath !

Nathan is still with us, Northampton have watched him a few times, this was followed up with this weeks training and game.

 

I watched the game yesterday, spoke with Norhampton and the script is. they liked what they have seen so far, they will continue to monitor his progress, he will be asked to take part in more reserve games (not every week)and then we see what happens.

Hm.. seem to be showing a little ignorance of the difference between leagues in fotball there, Barry. Far far more difficult in the world of 'proper' league football. Better to take the money and let him go if you have the chance...he really aint that much cop. Danny Hockton is a much more accomplished striker (IMHO).

speaking from experience (having had nathan as a youth player) and having seen him play countless times..I have always believed that he was good enough for league football in time...

 

he is still only young and hopefully will make the grade...comparisons with DH are a little unfair but certainly nathan has more potential...

ex-star 'DJ' is doing nowat Brentford ....and he was definitely better than Nathan.

 

Well, Unc, 'potential' as well you know has finished the career of many a prospective 'find' in the making.

 

Personally don't rate him...good in the air... granted but little else of note....but hey, football's all about opinions. Tho', bet TC would take the money if offered...

To compare Nathan to DJ is a bit of miss match as DJ has a couple of things in his favour at this present time...age and experience.

Seeing as you are in so much disbelief about our Nathan, why don't you phone up Northampton Town Football Club and tell them they don't know what there doing. After all, you've seen him play 3 times?

attempt at an excuse. So, who scored more goals for BTFC? Get out more have a look around at the various leagues upto Premiership level..you may well notice a slight differene in class and ability.
