Not slagging off Midgers. Thought he really grew into the wingback role especially last season and scored some great goals.

He had a few doubters though and certainly had a troubled start to his Canvey career.

I don't think he performed well enough for us to warrant a first team place. Regardless of where he played, he very rarely had a good game for us.

Saying that, people at Kingstonian, Exeter etc didn't rate Boylan, yet he's come to us and become the player he is today. Sometimes certain players find a place they're happy and their form improves no end.

Jeff and Glen must rate Clarke to have him in back in the squad for the Exeter game tomorrow.

It would be great if he can come through and prove everybody wrong but he certainly has to improve dramatically for that to happen I feel.
