What a fantastic day, toss up between, Duffers & Potter for my MOM.

Out played them, out sang em, they could have nicked a goal we could of had another two.

Ref was a homer, our defence was colossal Wardy, Chenners & Duffy did not give them a look in.

After reading their posts I think their fans have been very honest about the game. We realise that the pitch aided us as it stopped them playing their football, they realise that their were two teams playing on the same pitch.

I was extremely proud to be a Canvey fans today, we outsang Exeter completely, and the players put in an incredible effort to beat a team who are pushing for promotion 2-0 away from home.

I found a nice thread on Conf Guide again complementing our support. The players also sent a text on the way home saying how much they appreciated the noise. Let's make Halifax a special one and sing the roof off of the shed.

It was our 1st time on the coach and we will definetly be on it again.

I apologise to those sitting immediatly around us for MOB Jnr, he did not shut up all the way there and all the way back (He was convinced he was going to win the bridge game).

We had a great time, I think he was the only one on the coach who thought the smelly wind problem on the way back was funny.

He has not shut up about the fact that he started a couple of songs, which made his day, he even started one just as Ibe was about to score.

He had such a good time, I am certain he will be asking to bring a couple of mates next time (he nagged me all the way home he wanted to sit down the back with "the yellow army".

He had a great time and I think it is brilliant the way you older lads let the littleuns feel part of it all.

Thanks Yellow Army, a true family club and a true family of supporters.

it was a great day (im beginning to really like Exiter) their fans were really friendly in the club house (the 4 kids who were telling me, Mark and Kerry about trashing a Hereford bar made me p!ss myself as i don’t know if i have ever met such a bunch of complete twats (and hell i live in Essex), maybe someone from Exeter should look into that (they have the evidence saved on their phone, morons)). their food is, im sure, the worst in the league. but it is a good ground. and the trip was made so much better by a great performance and a fantastic result.

picking a man of the match was so hard as everyone was great and gave it there all in conditions that probably should have had the match called off. Danny was great every time he was called upon (what a save in the second half), Sedge had a blinder as did Chenners at the back. but for me it was Tate, as the song says, he was here, he has there, he was every fúcking where.

great performance, great result, great day out. more of the same please.

p.s. ref was truely awful in the second half. he obviously had Exeter down as a draw and was doidn his level best to make sure they got level by giving them everything, until we got the second then he was resigned to the fact that

THEY WILL NEVER BEAT THE CANVEY!!!

What a day and considering I only decided to go at the last minute has to be one of the best decisions I've ever made!!!

Chatted to some great lads in the bar before the game and afterwards some Exeter fans were very complimentary about our team's performance. Admitted our three best players were all ex Exeter players.

For me Sedgy was man of the match. Was awesome in midfield and deserved his first goal. Not sure how Ibe missed that chance and I really thought he had botched things up when he took an eternity to score. Nevertheless he scared the living daylights out of them when he came on.

Bizarre Exeter miss at the end and Danny's save was unbelievable.

Great support today. Not many of us but the noise was tremendous.

Oh yes and I won the Bridge game for the first time ever. Happy days!!!

I think that the yellows played quality and Danny Potter had a great game, a couple of saves off the line by the defenders, to rule it up every one had a great game.

And well done yellow for winning the bridge game although it must of been hard to think with that smell at the back. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

top day allround. thought the worst when we was in thier clubhouse and herd there was a pitch inspection at 2:15 but after the game got the go ahead i just had a feeling that this could well be our day, and wasn't it just.

My MOM would go to either Cheners or sedgemore but to be honest it is really hard to pick as everyone played so well. Everyone of them deserve's a massive pat on the back.

Thought it was an excellent touch by the players to txt Chris G and say thankyou to us all that travelled and compliment our efforts.

As for MOB JNR he should claim an assist as he started the song just as Ibe scored. Boy didnt we celebrate.

I started up 'Yellow ribbon' just as the move was developing for Mints' goal against Forest Green!!

I think the Ibe goal is right up there with great Canvey moments. Lost count of the number of people I hugged oir got hugged by when that goal went in!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Fantastic result - well done to the players and supporters who travelled. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

I'm absolutely gutted I couldn't get to this one and all these posts are making me green with envy!! I'm not going to be able to attend either of the Grays games either - they look like it's going to be a great atmosphere both home and away at the Rec. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bawling.gif" alt="" />

Did manage to get to Exeter last year for our first win in the Conference so at least I have those memories........ just have to wait for ConfTV highlights. St. James Park seems to be a happy hunting ground for the Gulls.
