Sports Stars who self destruct.

He looks ill doesn't he? What a sad story the Gascoigne story is. Possibly the greatest player in the world following Italia 90 and somebody who would have walked into any team in the world at that time to having to go to play in the Chinese 2nd Division because that was the only place in the world he could still get a game.

I really thought he was getting himself together when he was at Boston United and hoped against hope that he would take this opportunity with Kettering Town to gain experience of management and achieve success there.

Who is going to touch him now? He didn't cut it as a TV pundit and let's be honest, if a club like Kettering sack you for reasons that were stated then he really has hit rock bottom.

Sad beyond belief that he has ended up like this now.

Not sure why Ahmed self destructed. Wasn't through drink. Maybe somebody should have pointed him in the direction of a can of Lynx!!!

Where do I start!

In the pre-season prior to our first year in the Conference, a Cameroon player wrote to the club asking for a trial. He spoke little English, was hardly an advert for deodorant, and had the physique of a boxer!

However, get him on that football pitch and he became a sensation! He must have scored 3-4 goals that pre season, and wheeled away in huge celebration after every one, despite being at places like Halstead in front of 50 people!

All the kids got his autograph after games, he had all the making of a true Legend! However, things didn't work out and he was passed onto to Leyton on trial, but he failed to get a contract

After that his whereabouts is unknown, but he will be back.......

He's dissapeared off the face of the earth. Somebody should hire a private detective to track him down!!

Some say he does not really exist, the name was made up and he was actually the fabled cousin of a certain Liberian politician who was given a couple of games by a certain Mr Souness.

Some of you will know I have access to, certain connections that enable me to find out things when I need to.

I cannot find out anything about Ahmed Mouyouokouop, unless of course that is not his real name???

Thanks for that "The Great Eckscape" - I really would have loved to have seen the fella play after that description. Am I to believe that it might have been Ali Dia (who Souness was duped into playing for Southampton in a match, then subbed after a few minutes) mascarading under a made up name? What a story that would be for sure...

Im sure he has been put in the home changing room loft as a joke but has been forgotten about. Parms was still at the club at the time and we all know he was a prankster.

When we were in the changing room getting ready for our big game agisnt the legion last month i did say "Ahmed knock twice if your in there". Only got one knock back so i guess it wasnt him but it could be worth a check up there.
