Enfield Town 3 : 2 Barton Rovers

Duke of York

Recommended Posts

brilliant finish, I thought it was a cross!!!

we played well in the first half, but seemed to not "

we missed the likes of Russell Penn @ the back

Baldwin looks to have captured to role of "box 2 box" man

a very worrying second half performance

1) How many shots were on target?

2) 2 goals from set play

we need to improve our shots ratio, and start testing keeepers

Great result, I thought Niall Ritchie was outstanding today, as a team I thought we looked jaded & the players may well be glad of the extended rest to the Enfield game, I personaly was glad the game was on today not sure they were, do they get a say in rearranged matches or is it just down to the boards of both clubs to arrange?

Dont you realise that it's all down to the "Board" memebers if thats how you can describe them.

To be fair they're only content with holding power not for the benefit of players or suporters.

Get a grip chaps, the only reason you'd be on the board of clubs like ETFC or PBTFC would be to exercise power over others.

The only reason the two Enfield clubs dont get together is because of who takes control and thats down to a few individuals who want to maintain POWER.

Its not for the sport or for the community but for the Individuals concerned.

They want to maintain Power no matter what.

Prove me wrong guys. !!!!

If this was true Diver, then at least we can vote them off the board, and any one of us can stand for election. Our board members do not need to buy their way on to the board, they just need to be willing to give up a lot of time and put in a lot of effort to run the club - as do many others who do not seek election to the board.

The rest of us benefit from the efforts of these individuals.

I would like to know why only 11 players started the seecond half, namely Barton Rovers FC? Where were we for the first 15 minutes of that half?

Credit where credit is due to the fact that we never gave up. Mind you, playing against 9 players helped.

Who saw the approach play by Steve Baldwin to set up the third and final goal? Playing in midfield, then moved back into defence after Woodward went off, only then to pick up the ball and run some 40 - 50 yards with it to set up Brian to hammer it home. Star performance! Just shows what a good run in the team can do for someone's confidence.

Did anyone else see the referee move out of the way of the on rushing player he had just sent off? Not good news for non league football.

An excellent crowd of 251 just before Christmas. All those who went shopping missed the day when ETFC went 'Top of the league'

We seemed to be playing as 11 individuals yesterday, instead of a team.Players playing out of position. There was no formation. We had no wide left midfield player, relying on Ritchie to keep switching and covering both flanks.(Surprised Ritchie was taken off near the end, he was our best player again.)

After two very good games, i thought Hammett and Paul reverted back to their old selves again yesterday.Saying that,Hammetts goal in the last minute was a cracker, and more than made up for his

lacklustre display up to that point.

I thought Bartons No5 and No11 (the two sent off) were there two best players throughout the game.

yes I am glad the ref did move back or it could have been very ugly; but then he is the man in charge and he should never have been in put in the position by any player
