Great wakering 6-1 Enfield
I just dont know where to start on this one this is the most appalling display I think I have witnessed since the good old days of Laz/Back era and of course on a par with the southall F A cup tie.
A penalty given away by Dave Greenwood after 12 min was converted by Steve Butterworth. A shot well off target by sid nelson was all Enfield could muster. The second goal arrived on 25 mins when a cross from the right was not defended at all and neil richmond was able to pick his spot 2-0 . still no serious attacks from enfield at all and right on half time it was 3-0 .Neil richmond with an easy header totally unopposed. Enfield did rally slightly for a few minutes and pulled one back on 54 mins with A good run by Lee Allinson and he slipped the ball past Ashley Harrison. Allinson had a good chance to reduce the arrears even furthur but scuffed his shot at the vital moment. A shot then smacked against Rob Munns cross bar and then a 1 on 1 saw munn save well getting enough on the ball to knock it against the post . Wakering went 4-1 up with Richmond completing his hat trick all too easily and Enfield totally capitulated again with Richmond again all too easy for him from close range 5-1 . In the closing moments a cross shot from nick beale flew into the top corner to complete this rout.
I was ashamed to be here to see this today and I feel for our fans that made the journey ,I can only apologise for this debacle. Drastic measures need to be taken soon . Credit to mark whittington and Rob Munn who were the only players who had the front to come into the bar after the match and face the fans with all the others making a shameful beeline for their cars. Credit to Great wakering they turned up with the right attitude but ours were just pathetic.

Very surprised. We turned them over 5-0 at their place recently.Yes, they did look lively up front on the day, but their defence was poor. Was Clarkey playing?

He never got a decent pass fed to him . Only mark whittington ,and warren leader (when he came on) put any sort of effort in . It was a complete waste of time going. Although Munny let 6 in you couldnt really fault him given the cover he had ,it was sick. A good draw a borehamwood and similar at wivenhoe and we wernt that bad at dartford last week but this was just unacceptable.

i'm sorry to say this lads but you came with a negative attitude towards the game.playing with a sort of 5-4-1 or 4-5-1 you just encouraged gwr to come and have a go at you.even when you went 2-0 down after 28 minutes you keept the same negative attitude.i have got to admit that on this display you were the worst team seen at burroughs park for ages.it's worring and some questions should be asked to your management duo:some players look like they were playing without confidence and some others look like they couldn't be bothered about it.you had probably 3 shoots all game but a lot of teams in the league would have been beaten on our first half display.tell your managers to concentrate more on their team and stop having a go at the officials every minute."a disgrace" like one of your supporters said after the game

Talk about misinformation. I was told that you let in 6 because your keeper was sent off!

Rob was sent off against Northwood in midweek.

The tactics were totally wrong yesterday and were not changed to limit the damage being done.

Bad Egg you'd better not go near any chopping blocks if yor gonna stick yor gregory peck out.

as we cant score we need to start playing with 2 strikers at least it will give us a little bit more of a chance none of this 4-4-1-1 or 4-5-1 and start playing 4-4-2 or 5-3-2

It is very worrying indeed we have slipped from a mid table posision to being in the dogfight in the space of a month.

They probably had the Town game on their minds .But 3 points against wakering would have been a lot easier to earn.

"every game has its own history" and you're as good as your last game".it would be wiser not to underestimate the player's reaction from a 6-1 defeat.usually in a derby the weakest team on paper does well so i wouldn't count all tthe chickens yet.having said that, you're flying so are definitely favourites to win the derby......
