Presumably the League (bless 'em) restrictions on approaching players only applies to contracted players.
Would it not be worth giving Mr Calder a ring? There appear to be a few spare non-contracted players looking for clubs down at Billericay.

Mr Calder is manager @ Billericay.
You have to give a club seven days notice to approach a non-contracted player. This presumably is to give the club a chance to either up the players wages or offer him a contract.
The club can waive the notice as Carshalton did when we signed Denva McKenzie.
