Last Saturday - Nuneaton v Middlesbrough on Match of the Day. Middlesborough player shoots over the bar late in the game, the ball goes out of the ground at the open end and hits a house high up. The commentator observes that it 'neary went in someone's bedroom window'

Now cast your mind back to 1984, Nuneaton v Enfield. Score is 4-0 to Nuneaton, and Steve Cox has a shot for Enfield at the same end, which goes over the bar, through some old dear's lounge window and wipes out her budgie! We spent the rest of the game chanting 'Coxy's killed a budgie, la la la la..." I reckon the Boro' player hit the house next door. Anyone else remember it?
