It appears as if the original reason for forming Enfield Town has now migrated to pastures new (last i heard Crete), so why are there still two Enfield teams, I applaud the rationale for forming the break away club and the ethos of not having reliance upon a rich sugar daddy running the club again, but Enfield cannot support two senior level clubs. With a support level of approx 550-600 one single club in enfield could well get back to conference or conference south level provided a ground of a suitable standard was found. with both clubs well run surely something can be done to reunite the clubs.

good luck to all and down with the barnet (and rushden)

One of the main reasons for forming Enfield Town was to continue to play in the borough of Enfield.Since the formation of Town five seasons ago, they have played all their home fixtures in Enfield.Whilst EFC have played every home game outside of Enfield. That in itself is justification for the breakaway.

I personally would like to see one team,a merger..I will depend of what happens over the next two seasons, both on the field and off it.

Regarding you comment about 500-600 fans.Yes,that was our basic average at Southbury rd,but when success occured the attendences would rise higher than that. I remember in our Ryman prem winning season ,we got over 1500 against Basingstoke in a bog standard league game and average near the 1000 mark for the whole season.
