Played very well. Won everything in the air and confident on the ball, very good distribution. Didnt keep quiet all night, constantly encouraging and seems a true leader.

Looking foreward to seeing him in action in the league now as he seems a quality signing that looks like what we are missing. Also linked up well with Dominic who was playing along side him.

3 - 0

I thought Dolan was good, helped Mitchell, lots of encouragement their #20 Jones was by far their best player and a real handful.

We looked uninspired for long parts of the game but never really looked under pressure.

We wasted a hell of a lot of balls in the last third. Decent oposition would have punished us for wasteing that much possesion.

Mario had the ball taken of his boot loads of times.

Taite looked quite tidy. Burnham looked a reasonable side.

Was their keeper a little on the small side?

Most enjoyable evenings entertainment with several of the 1st team squad playing - McKinney, Lowes, Mario, Sterling, Tait, Jay, Gregory, Ibe and Clarke.

Did anybody know who the number 3 for Canvey was tonight by the way?

I have to say that as much as I enjoy going to watch the reserves. it does annoy me that the club seemingly cannot get anybody to simply read out the teams. Surely somebody could grab a mike and just run through who is actually playing, let people know who the subs are etc. I have said it before that if it is that much of a problem, I would be happy to do this myself for the club at least then I would be able to see a teamsheet and know who is who.

By the way, the Burnham coach looked very much like Paul Parker, ex Man Utd. Fulham, QPR, Chelsea, England etc - does anybody know if it was him?

The game was a bit scrappy in parts but we were well worth our 3-0 win with goals from Tait, Gregory and a cracker from Mario, the latter two coming near the end.

I saw enough of Joe Dolan tonight to see that he is a good un. He marshalled the defence superbly and looked class. Did everything right and standing listening to him encouraging Mitchell Lowes and indeed the whole team, I know we have found a real commanding prescence on the field who is going to give blood, sweat and tears 100% for this club. Seen him once and I am already very impressed.

Burnham's no 20, Jones looked very useful and I would have thought that we could do far worse than keep an eye on him should another striker be required in the future.

Downside was Mitchell Lowes being carried off with an injury but saw him standing in front of the clubhouse after the game seemingly recovered from the knock

All in all a nice night out and my daughter and myself are now looking forward to our 1st trip on the Supporters Club coach to Gravesend on Friday.

Come on you Yellows!!!

Agreed. I thought we put up a good fight against a strong side from yourselves. I thought we had some good chances to score, but we didnt take them. That's what let us down!

Obviously as predicted class did prevail, but I personally do not believe you were 3-0 better than us, on the night.

I can confirm that it was not Paul Parker on our bench, it was infact Del Robinson, but I shall let him know at training about that! PMSL!!!

Thanks for making us feel welcome, and good luck for the rest of the season

P.S - I hope Mitchell Lowes has a speedy recovery. I admit I was the one who made the tackle, but, as always, I went to play the ball, and certainly not the player. It was a 50/50 tackle and the ball was there to be won. Unfortunately beat me to the ball!

Fair to say I feel that the Canvey bench were not overly impressed with your tackle on Mitch last night my friend, but as you say, these things happen with a 50/50 ball.

The score did flatter Canvey as the last 2 goals were scored in the last couple of minutes but that was a very strong Canvey team and you did very well on the night. Liked the look of no. 20 up front - very pacy and lively for sure.

Regards to Del and tell him that if ever there is a Paul Parker lookalike competition in and around Burnham at any time in the future to get his a**e down there as he is on a winner for sure....
