Tamworth did the Conference proud tonight and only went out to Stoke City on penalties after extra time in their FA Cup replay last night.

Well done the Lambs on a valliant effort and good luck to Burton Albion on Wednesday - I have a feeling that they might need it at Old Trafford!!!

After seeing the Man Utd/Burton game tonight, I wouldn't mind Sedgemore trying to pursuade his Brother to come to us you know! He's only on loan at Burton at the moment too. I thought he played superb, as did Ryan Austin and the experienced Tinson of course.

Burton did non-league football proud tonight and I would hope, as with all lower division Clubs stepping up to a challenge, that they manage to retain a few of those extra fans who went to Old Trafford tonight.

We play them at Park Lane next Saturday, and they'll think they're as far away from Old Trafford as they could possibly get...We can prove their FA Cup magic was just a fluke, so heres to another double!

Well Exeter done it as well as Burton so why not us??
Anythings possible.
Do ya reckon 11,000 would come and watch us?? Oh yeah silly me we have thousands follow us for big cup games and trophey finals and then the next week back to the same 800!

Would be interesting how many would turn out. Quite a few more from surrounding areas just for the day out I would imagine.
Not FA or Carling cup but if we got to Wembley in a final, that should bring a fair few out as well.

Did you hear them mention Canvey on the BBC last night?

When Burton's skipper got booked, the commentator remarked that was his 5th yellow card of the season , he would miss the away match at Canvey Island. Him and Lawrenson then had a short conversation about the Island, to which Lawrenson said "it's a lovely town!"

Strange, last time I remember Lawrenson being at Park Lane I remember people lobbing mud from the pitch at him & Hansen!

And didn`t they make themselves look fools that day

I think Lawrenson was playing it safe because he knows he`ll be back at Park Lane one day.

Burton did themselves proud last night but will be back to the usual 60-80 travelling fans on Saturday.

I don't think we would take anywhere near 10,000 to Man utd for a mid week cup game - remember that Burton are located very centrally in the country and they are only 2 or 2.5 hours from most of their away games. I remember going to Leigh RMI last year for a mid week and that was bad enough!

Did anyone catch the comment about Burton getting about a million pound for the ties? Could you imagine what we could do with that sort of money? a down payment for the new ground development or we could afford Tiery Henry's big toe.

I feel a touch of jealousy coming on!

There is a thread on the Burton forum asking who`s going to Canvey but as yet no replies.

If they give Clough a 1/4 of that money he should be able to turn an already decent team into a title contenders next season (if they don`t go up this season).

Burton have had another bid for Wokings Justin Richards rejected so they might have to dip into their spare change and up the bid.

Yeah, the Commentator said he'll miss the Canvey Island match and that he didn't think he'd be too bothered. He then asked Lawrenson if he'd been to Canvey to which Lawrenson replied he had and it was a nice place.
