Greeting to all
Am i right in assuming that ilfords esteemed asst manager will not be in attendance this sturday? given mr norcotts "work committments".
it will be interesting to see turner and wesley wotshisname against clarkey......and the other leg up front. will our top scorer be playing - the killer? hope fully another three points although it wil be more difficult.
p.s. Rob - dont have a go at their keeper this time otherwise you will only have his wife on your back again.
i take it from the results at the top of the league apart from b.wood no one wants to go up so from second down all will finish on the same points

I always stand behind the goal horn in one hand camera in the other. I have just read we have big horn coming to, any idea who he is?

And I have pictures to prove it. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I must say there might be quiet a few Ware fans at the game as we haven't got a game on Sat.
It will be good to see a game for the first time in a while where I won't have my heart beating at 100mph through the game.
YOU havent seen the way we play yet , <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wall.gif" alt="" />

My Horns so big a can't hold anything else, its takes a lot of effort to blast out the noise all goalkeepers hate. I feel sorry for the ilford goalkeeper on sat, he will have 3 Horns blasting at him.

Enfield 1-1 Ilford
A very slow start from both sides with marlon stuart having an early chance which was saved by lee ward and likewise from Julien Charles which was blocked by steve wright ,A chance by danny Gabriel who rolled his shot just wide , Ilford's Charles was soon helped from the field after sustaining an injury and on 40 mins was joined by richard simpson after a tackle on sherwin stanley saw him come off worse. The deadlock was broken with an long hoof upfield saw danny gabriel get the better of his marker and square for marlon stuart to tap home on 44 mins,. The second half was a very one sided affair with Ilford doing most of the pressing but enfield did have a chance to go furthur ahead when a shot by danny gabriel struck prince Toku and just dropped the wrong side of the post .A foul on sherwin stanley inside the box was waved away by mr forrester and a Handball which was also in the box was also waved away , Ilford were looking more threaening and Ex E danny clarke had a good shot very well saved by wright low to his right ,Ilford had another great chance with a shot from Reilly was parried by wright and wes borghys headed off the line , Another was blocked off soon after, this time Nick Turner overting the danger . The 88th minute was marred by a mass brawl with prince Toku being clattered after the ball had gone by danny clarke. Ilford deservedly drew level in the 90th minute when a cross resulted in a scramble from which dave reilly managed to stab the ball home .seven minutes of stoppage time was fairly uneventful . I have to admit Ilford deserved their point today. Att 116

The two football scratchcards were won by Ilford fan Viv and our very own Mick Hughes.
I had a chat with Ilford fan Teresa who gave us a mouthful a few weeks ago, I think she's forgiven us for the row at theirs. A nice lady. It was also nice to meet fred the fox Ilfords mascot ,a very jovial character indeed.

Sid Nelson has joined ilford but wasn't elligable today , Jeff Hammond had a crap game(nothing new there) . no sign of danny alleyne in their ranks today(again nothing new) . Clarkey did keep our back row busy and could have bagged a goal for himself. Disappointing we let it slip but they could have just as easily nicked it.

must say I was at the game
I thought the first half was shocking from both sides.
second half was livened up by a few fights but was still the same. Ilford were pressing but wasting their possesion. Enfiled could have had a few great brakes with their fast front men but due to a lack of passing from a few members of the midfield this didn't happen. Ilford scored a scrappy goal, but was good to see the fox happy. The air horn was very quite I must say.
I thought the reff had a great game made very few wrong descisions.
I was standing opposite the main stand so saw quite alot.

Bloody cold is my overview.

Your right funny when the keeper booted the ball out of play from a free kick when you blew your horn
