Neil Midgley

I'll accept that if he's gonna play as a Striker or just behind them in a central role.

Are Boylan and Tait's injuries that bad? Will Gregory be here at the end of the season?

Next thing we know, Dave Theobald will be back as well.

Matt i hate to break it to you like this but i don`t think the management will care if you accept it or not.

Midgely is a solid player who did a lot of work that went un-seen, a good squad player to have.

A good player to have, but played in the wrong position when he was with us originally. He was doing the business for Kettering as a Striker, so I'm hoping that's where we'll be playing him.

Think he could do a job if there's a few injuries and suspensions. He looked OK the other night and if played as a striker or just behind the front two he could do a good job.

Scored some important and very good goals last season.

I'm sure Midge may prove useful if we continue to have long term injuries and seems to be a useful utility player when being played out of position which seems to be the norm.

So with Wilson gone and Midgely released from Kettering - whats the chances of Junior coming back? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Well please he is back. Like ronin said, he done alot of work which went unnoticed. i was very dissopointed when we released him. We are not scoring many at the moment so if we play him as a striker which kettering did, this could soon chang, HOPEFULLY <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

He is a good solid player who always played well. Didn't always stand out over the other players like Boylan and Minton for obvious reasons but that was because he is not a striker like Lee or a trickster like Jeff. He is a good player who will give his all like he did before he joined that stupid fiasco in Kettering. Does that chairman have any clue to what he is doing to that club?

Echo jumping the gun again. Probably got recalled by Kettering after Wilson was shown the door.

On Sky Sports it looks like Dave Theobald is in goal for Kettering as he's listed first.

EDIT: Their Goalkeeper is actually fourth in the line-up.

Finally some news, courtesy of the Echo website...

UTILITY man Neil Midgley will not be rejoining Conference side Canvey Island.

The former Ipswich Town and Barnet man, who filled wing back, midfield and striker roles for Gulls during a two year spell, was released last summer.

He joined Kettering Town this season but was set to come back to Park Lane after being released from his contract by the Poppies - only to be offered a new deal by the Conference North Club following the departure of Kevin Wilson.

"Neil was all set to rejoin us and had agreed a deal until the end of the season but a new offer from Kettering came in and he decided to accept that," said manager Jeff King.
